There is no input delay on PS3 version

If the LCD you’re playing on is truly lag-less, let me know.

PS3 + CRT the way to go for 3s. Run butter smooth, on crisp filter and no scanlines. I can careless for the characters select screen or HUD, as long the gameplay is accurate then i’ll be a happy camper.

I played it on my Samsung HD tv and something feels really off.

How is the new hud and other new graphics on SD resolutions? I’d imagine it would look pretty shitty, just like every game that was made for HD resolutions in mind. What I’m saying is that does the “3s was made for CRT’s” argument hold valid with 3SO and it’s new appearance anymore?

Also, I’m still asking do the filters or screen modes cause any lag?

Sorry, but you can’t just SAY ‘theres no delay, cause I can still do combos’ when people have proven that there is.
Its known that there is a 2-3 frame delay for PS3 because of the USB inputs. This is unavoidable.
Its known that there is a 2-3 frame delay on the port, as its not as arcade perfect as they had hoped.
Setting GGPO to 0 frame delay means you’ll be playing a slideshow. Have fun with that.

  1. People haven’t proven shit. In fact, they have proven the opposite in Tech Talk. They proved that both versions have 4 frames of input delay, the same as all Capcom arcade fighters.
  2. I’ll repeat what I just said. Test proved 4 frames of delay on PS3 and 360.
  3. All Capcom arcade games (ST, Alpha etc.) have 4 frames of input delay. Why would 3s be any different? I’ll say that yes we still need verification, but I know by my own gameplay that it’s perfect. If the game is off by even a couple frames (PS2 Version for instance) red parrying becomes nearly impossible and the whole game is slower.
  4. Fast Cable Internet homey. I have lots of fun with awesome connections that are of offline quality. Yes, even on the much criticized Playstation Network. No slide shows here, and if I do get a slide show I quit immediately (maybe 1 in every 10 matches).

You tell him!

Agree with all your points except for 4. My experience online has been crappy so far. Set ggpo delay to 0 and I am getting slideshows. But my Internet is great and ping times are solid. I rarely find green connections on 3soe :-/

So much false I don’t even know where to begin.

Unless you can prove yourself, he’s right on the first three points.

8 hours straight…

PS3 and 360 is relatively the same
Filters have no effect, go wild
They are waiting for CPS-3 board input test

ehh there is def input delay sorry

shut up

It’s your setup then.

LOL!

“All that testing shit you did, nah son, it lags even if you proved otherwise”

you’re assuming someone would buy a tv for the sole purpose of playing street fighter…

I’m not assuming at all. It’s a topic I have firsthand experience with.

Great opportunity for hardware makers IMO. MadCatz/Hori et al should start making their own brand of lagfree monitors. Just get some generic parts, have them assembled in China and drop some SF/Marvel artwork over the moddable backpanel. Nerds will flock to this shit.

Not saying you’re lying, but can you point me to the evidence? I’d like to check it myself.

things requiring different timing? combos doing less damage than the original? explain with solid examples please.

yes you win. I have a 20" flatscreen crt for fighting games. I dont use it much but I will if/when cvs2 comes out. I dont want ANY input lag on that bish!!

3s works fine for me. I didnt really notice any delay.

No lag that I feel either. The combos I did on GGPO still work like they usually did.

Then again, I’m not good enough to notice lag unless it’s like really awful.
