The Zero MvC3 "Team" Thread

Yeah but then you’re stuck with Doom anchor (not that good IMO). Both teams are pretty good honestly. I think strider is a much scarier anchor though and he helps cover some of zero’s bad matchups (zoning / run away).

Capitalizing off Vajra is difficult with zero from far away but he does have some options I’m working on.

FFFFUUU~ Kef, just when I switch my order to Zero/Doom/Dante you go and say something like that >_> Still messing around mind but yeah I really do like either Zero/Dorm/Doom or some variation of Zero/Dante/Doom.
Main reason I love Dorm so much is, despite the lack of assist synergy he covers EVERY bad matchup of Zero’s that I can think of.

As for Strider, I agree with Zero and Dante it can be just…OP as a team so looking forward to what you find for Zero/Strider cos I haven’t been able to find jack shit =/

No I mean, that team can work in many forms, even Doom/Zero/Dante works pretty well. It’s like Jago’s team, you can pretty much playing however you like.

Midscreen you do:

:h: Setsuizan xx buster lv.3 > Air Dash Forward > j.:m: > j.:3:h: > :s:

In the corner is pretty easy to the basic OTG.

Yeah you can just dive > buster from the ground > run up 5M or dive > buster > sougenmou for longer distances to run up.

The air dash isn’t reliable at all distances is it? like you have to be inside of them practically when you jump to do the dive? Most of the time when you hit Vajra they’re gonna be like… full screen at super jump height.

I’m trying this and it seems really inconsistent (haven’t actually even got it yet). If you dash forward before the Sentsuizan you can also do H-Sentsuizan xx Buster, L-Hiankyaku, dash foward :s: if you are ever stuck in a situation where you have to combo like that.

Actually speaking of that, I don’t know why so many Zero’s don’t do relaunch combos after hitting with a raw Buster > Raikousen, especially after seeing Arisu yesterday.

Buster Raikousen > launch BBCS OTG Dive Buster Raikousen > launch BBCS does NOT work (drops at the last C)

BUT

Buster Raikousen > launch BBCS OTG Dive Buster L-Hienkyaku > launch BBCS always works (need to dash forward after the Hienkyaku outside of the corner).

Another extremely consistent option anywhere on screen:

Buster Raikousen > s.:h: :f:+:h: :s: delay j.:d:+:h: link Buster, L-Hienkyaku, dash forward s.:h: (1-hit) :s: j.:m::m::h::s:

The one Nini mentioned is really good for relaunch off Buster too.
Buster, Raikouse, Launch (or M,H,S), sj.MMHS, OTG Dive, Buster, Raikousen, Launch, sj.d+H, S.

I’m actually having trouble finding a decent mid-screen bnb now that I dropped Dormammu and no longer have Dark Hole to easily extend my combos. Jam Session just doesn’t cut it the same way and Sentsuizan -> buster sends them too for for Raikousen to properly connect.

Assistless you can just do the jump loop midscreen. If you’re feeling lazy one rep is more than enough to go corner to corner.

With Jam Session midscreen you can do something like bnb, Sentsuizan, Jam Session, j.MM xx Buster xx Raikousen, S j.2HS into whatever ender you want.

Try ground series, launch, j.mX2, H. Raikousen xx buster, air dash, S, land, call cart, Otg dive, dash, launch, air magic series and then whatever. I haven’t tried it with Cart, but if it works with plasma beam it should work with cart. I’m trying to make it my new mid screen bnb. Barring my execution, it’s actually been pretty consistent for me. And popular opinion around here is that that combo looks pretty cool lol.

Or you could just ground magic series, launch, air magic series, call cart, Otg dive, dash, launch, air magic series into blah blah blah.

I just do otg dive > dante > j.buster > raikosen > relaunch. Just doesn’t work if you got an air hit to start the combo since it pushes the scaling to the max. Haven’t tried the j.2H thing though, that might help in the “not much hitstun left for the combo” situations.

Just a thought but I wonder if you hit them with Vajra and just stand under and do meaty 5H, would it catch them for a combo?

Did bad i n tourney today testing zero, fuck the new hitstun im still getting used to it. Basic teams today where
Zero lead
Doom/mag second
Akuma/strider anchor

I didnt do so well because ive been switching teammates around a lot.

There’s no need to useJam Session midscreen in combos.

is Zero/Vergil/Hawkeye a pretty good team?

how do i get an extra relaunch using zero/wolverine? which assist of wolverine’s do i need to use?

Two things:

Strange is better against Hawkeye than Dante. Vishanti is just as good as Gimlet and his teleports are fast and unpredictable, unlike Dante’s. Seven Rings super is also sick against Clint.

Zero/Strange/Magneto would probably be better against Hawkeye than the latter team. Disruptor assist will force Hawkeye to use Spritzer more, which doesn’t control space nearly as well as his other projectiles.

I switched back to Jam Session

Jam Session is godlike for Zero.

call sentinel, super jump, lightning m, buster, teleport down. Run to combo off the drones.
