The Zero MvC3 "Team" Thread

Hsien-Ko(Chain Swing)/Zero(Shippuga)/Doom(Beam)

Good DHC’s…
Main thing I try w/ this team is to get Hsien into hyper armour, then rushdown w/ Zero+A1
Hsien w/ Mirror Image Zero+Doom Assist can be impossible to get in on it seems.
Hard thing IMO for this team is you have to be decent w/ Hsien, which I am not =(
Any tips?
P.S. I will not use Sent, Mag, or Storm. ><
And Zero(Ryuenjin?)/Doom(Rocks)/Arthur(Daggers) seems decent

I use Zero(a)/Dante(a)/Doom(y)

im on the fence of getting rid of wesker in place of someone else
you guys think x23 goes good with zero and tron

I was trying X-23 some days ago. She is very cool and fast which I like, but her DHC synergy with Zero atleast is not good, but Zero likes low-hitting assist due to his offense being mostly in the air. But I never experimented with maybe Zero DHC into X-23 lv.3 shenanigans so I dunno. Don’t know much about Tron.

So I’ve been on my quest do find a perfect partner for Zero/?/Doom and I think I might have found one very good contender. I am currently experimenting with Zero/She-Hulk/Doom. You can switch from Zero to She-Hulk on point because they both are great at being point (probably Zero because >), but these combination really shines because their DHC synergy is amazing. I’ve tried almost every single combination of DHC between these guys and it works. Zero>She-Hulk>Doom, She-Hulk>Zero>Doom, Doom>She-Hulk>Zero you name it.

She-Hulk has a low assist, which both Zero and Doom’s airdashhigh-hitting offense likes and they both can get combos out of (even do tricky). She-Hulk and Zero both love beam assist to get in. Zero’s and She-Hulk’s assist I am thinking to experiment with, because She-Hulk also has that grab assist which could be good for resets, and there’s also the flipkick which is great anti-air. Zero has Genei-Hadangeki and Genei-Ryuenjin which could serve She-Hulk and Doom well.

EDIT: Most of their DHCs coming out of She-Hulk or Zero then to She-Hulk or Zero finally into Doom do over 100k.

For anybody looking for a Zero+Doom partner, I highly recommend trying She-Hulk out, this is not my final team yet, but definetly on my top 3 possible teams: Zero/Wesker/Doom, Zero/Amaterasu/Doom, Zero/She-Hulk/Doom.

I’m actually looking for a third for Zero and Doom also. Right now I’m trying out Skrull, Ironman, Hulk, and Chris. I’ll add She-Hulk to that list. Thanks.

A good fit for Zero+Doom is Hsien-Ko oddly enough.
They DHC well together, good synergy, try it ^.^
Your gonna have your work cut out w/ Hsien, but its so gonna be worth it…
better be:confused:

I don’t like She-Hulk at all. Way too awkward for my tastes. However I did try out Dante on Weasel Shot. Very good for adding hits to combos - specifically Zero’s BnB. Didn’t test if it can OTG though. It’s also great because it puts Dante in a backwards momentum position, away from immediate danger.

My best find of the day came when testing Wolverine. His Beserker Slash has some crossup potential to help Zero’s already crazy mixup game. The thing that really wants to make me explore Wolverine more is that you can cancel Beserker Barrage X into Zero’s clone super and continue the combo. Of course need to test more, but it has a lot of potential.

Yeah, Wolvie does fit with both Zero and Doom. My current list for my 2nd member has shorten to: Wolvie, Wesker, Ammy, She-Hulk, Morrigan, Iron-Man, and Taskmaster (need to try him out first). Dormammu… i don’t know.

I haven’t tried Wesker, is it the OTG ability that draws you to him?

Not at all. He DHCs well into both Doom and Zero. Wesker’s assist is only 1-hit so that makes combos in the corner with Setsuizan more deadly, also helps comboing out of mid-screen air grabs if you don’t have Doom. Wesker is just overall very good and benefits from Doom too. Most of Zero’s and Doom’s offense if to hit high, so that’s what makes low-hitting assists very good for both of them.

I’ve been loving Dante as my 2nd.

What about DHC? I’ve haven’t found much chemistry between Dante and Zero when it comes to that.

DHC from Sougenmu into Devil Trigger into Doom anything. Now you have Doom onscreen with 2 superpowered assists ^^. Costs 3 meter, but I find it’s a good way to tag Zero out when needed.

I never experimented much with Zero+Dante, but DHC from Zero to Dante was pretty bad unless you do Devil Trigger. But it might be possible to do a combo with Devil Trigger after Rekkouka (doubt it do). Jam Session is a good assist for Zero do, not for rushdown but for lockdown and space control.

I wonder if Sentsuizan during air-combo, land Sougenmu DHC into Devil Trigger, Volcano works.

You can DHC from Million Dollar into Rekkoha in the gap before the Jackpot shot. If you somehow manage to land Rekkoha against a standing opponent you can DHC into Million Dollar just fine because it doesn’t pop them up. You can do Sougenmu DHCed into Million Dollar for a long-range punish or Devil Must Die if you want a little more damage on a counter without that fourth meter really being wasted. I haven’t tried it yet and I’m not near the game, but now I want to try following a Sky Dance combo with Devil Trigger DHCed into Rekkoha, since that would be a great way to get Dante out and rapidly recovering red life. Maybe tag a couple Legion Arrows on after that, too, since I keep Taskmaster as my third.

what I’ve tried is Rekkoha as soon as it hits DHC to devil trigger SJ launcher crystals otg xxx million dollar baby. that i done so far. probably need to experiment a bit more right now my team is Zero/Dante/Trish. it was zero/ryu/dante but i have been enjoying trish’s trap assists.

I’ve been playing Zero/Wolv/Sent even before the game came out (got it early) and yea zero/wolv do work well. Just have to remember that you can’t mindlessly rush down against good players, becuase if you get tagged you’re done.

I played a first to 5 set a pretty good wesker and managed to barley win 5-4. All 4 of his wins came from me getting hit once with zero, and once with wolv. He was doing damn near 70% WITHOUT meter.

Wolv the same way just better damage output than Zero, but less mix ups. Also much easier bnb if you’re playing online since there lag and all…

DHC wise they work both way. You can put zero 1st or wolv 1st it doesn’t matter, they both can dhc from their standard bnbs.

:shake:

Thtas my maim concern with Wolverine. I don’t want two fragile characters on the same team. The damage potential is too great, which is why I’m not going with X-23 and some others.

I’ve been using Zero with Wesker (OTG Assist) and Ammy (Cold Star) and I’ve found it to be a team that does a really good job of creating mixups. Not only do you get high/low mix ups when you combine Zero’s j.:h: with Wesker’s assist, but starting the match with a quick teleport and Cold Star seems to always confuse people for some reason. They all DHC pretty well into each other (though shuffle into maximum wesker doesn’t always hit). Wesker’s OTG is also great for a quick relaunch air series into Rekkoha for a little extra damage.

The downfall is that both Zero and Ammy are a bit low in the health department, but Wesker sort of makes up for that. I really like this team. I definitely need to experiment more, but so far I like it.
