The Zero MvC3 "Team" Thread

Zero(Point)/Ammy/Trish

I use Zero’s Hadangeki, Ammy’s Cold Star. and Trish’s air trap.

I usually use Ammy’s assist to continue my rush down especially if people advance guard and try to go on the offensive.

Trish’s assist is used to kind keep an opponent in the corner, especially if they block Zero’s heavy attacks and Shippuga.

At least I try to do this in matches anyway lol.

Being doing more lab time with Zero’s and different partners because I still don’t have a solid team put out.

Wesker’s Samurai Edge is good like evrybody knows for unblockables, but OTG corner combos makes Zero a lot of damage in the corner because it’s only 1 hit which helps in damage and hitstun scaling. I guess X-23 is also great, but she has low health and you may not want 2 very low health characters in a team, but still very good character. (both Wesker and X-23) Other 1hit-high damage assists are Magneto’s beam, but is not good for anything else.

Ammy and Iron-Man are the best (as of now IMO, found them way better than Doom rocks) helping Zero get in, stay in, and mix-up with command dashes. Still seeing which goes better with Zero. Ammy has a great DHC with Zero, but Iron-Man has problems DHCing into Zero. Iron-Man has more health and better mobility than Ammy. But is to note that Ammy’s assist lasts more than Iron-Man’s.
*NOTE: Very weird, I found out that even do Ammy’s Ice Shots and Iron-Man’s Unibeam do the same damage and same hits, Iron-Man’s Unibeam allows for better combos than Ammy. I try doing the same combo with Ammy then what I am going with Iron-Man it the opponent can tech in the air, while with Iron-Man I continue the combo.

Have you tried working with Missiles assist Kef? If your sig is accurate then we’re actually playing the same team right now. I’m using Hadangeki, Jam Session, and Missiles assists. I find Missiles are a godsend for protecting Zero’s precious little health, and can also be used as a pressure tool to get in. Jam Session is obviously just godlike anti-air and a good combo extender. If Zero is tagged out with Sougenmu active then double Hadangeki is really good for locking down opponents while Dante runs teleport mixup or just for closing distance with Doom. Double Hadangeki is almost as good as Sent drones imo, just calling Zero assist is a much bigger risk than calling Sent assist.

I think Zero is good with most OTG assists so he extend his combos after an S to the ground followed with assist + air QCF+C

You don’t need an OTG assist for that. If you call any assist that stays out long enough (like Jam Session) you can call the assist, OTG with j.:qcf::h: and they will be OTG’ed into the assist, and then you can combo regularly from it.

I know that dant can dhc after zero special if you do it otg and then go straight to dante before it starts to hit them, then i go to deadpools right after that

Zero needs Sentinel, Hes too weak without him, Zero is strong but hes Brittle so he needs a reliable anchor. So you want
Zero/Chasing character or a zoner/Sentinel.

Every team needs Sent tbh. I don’t really want to touch him though so that ain’t gonna happen

@AvariceX

Nah the sig isn’t updated. I want a very solid team before I go into match-up and stuff. My Zero is very solid right now, and if I play online, I mostly OCV with Zero or make a comeback with him because I haven’t stop using him.

Doom Missiles, never tried them but they don’t work good for side switches with command dashes, even do it looks like they are great for every character. Sentinel’s drones is probably the best and most perfect assist for Zero, but I am restraining from using Sent until one of those premature tier lists comes out and Sent is not the best character in the game.

Iron-Man is a great substitute for Sent, but his DHC into Zero is extremely hard to land. Proton Cannon let’s say does 39 hits, you have DHC exactly in the last hit of the Proton Cannon if you want Zero to hit his super. That’s probably reason I am conflicted between Ammy/Doom/Iron-Man and many others. So, a lot of Lab time for now.

And for anyone using Dante, here are some tips. Posted an extremely nice reset some pages ago in the corner with Zero/Dante-a. Dante and Zero make a decent couple because they can make any DHC safe, but thier actual damage DHC is only good if Dante is DHcing into Zero, not vice versa. Dante loves Zero’s Shadow-Hadangeki assist because of his teleports. Also for people that don’t know, you can do your normal BnB with Zero and instead of ending it with Zero, OTG with H Sentsuizan+Call Dante to hold them there and then do the super. And if you begin your second charge immediately after the lightning dive, you should be able to fire a second lv.3 charge shot after the Dante assist.

I need ideas for a third member of my Zero team. I have been this whole past week using Zero/Thor/Doom (Rocks assist) but Thor is a horrible member for that team. Im set on keeping Doom with the rocks assist because it really compliments Zero’s rush down IMO essentially creating this very tough wall for people to break.

So yea any ideas? preferably not Dorm/Wesker because they are the 2 members on my Thor team and im trying to keep my options open and learn a decent amount of the cast… so later down the road I can mix and match and really create more optimal teams.

Edit: I forgot no Dante either haha. I have nothing against the character but almost everyone that I play with regularly uses him and I was sort of a more unique team.

You mean like this? :stuck_out_tongue:

Molecular Shield and Weasel Shot also work for that combo. I haven’t tested any other assists but there’s probably a bunch that work.

NissanZaxima I’d recommend trying Iron Man or Taskmaster, both of them work pretty well with Zero.

Out to prove that Zero doesn’t need Sentinel
Dr. Doom is a perfectly fine anchor.

Yep, like that. And Iron-Man, man I don’t know that DHC is so bad, so tight to do.

I’ve been using Zero (Ryuenjin) / Trish (Low Voltage or Peekaboo) / Spencer (Armor Piercer) or Ryu (Tatsu)

Doing his BnB (2ABC, 5ABC6C 5ABC6C S 5B5B5C5S) I can call an assist after I land, do a tigerknee 236H and assist (either one) will hit, allowing me another relaunch of 5C6C S. At this point I either Rekkoha or launch with my other partner (it will not get through the 5B5B5C j.S part). However I can call Trish during the first 5C6C section for extra hits, then relaunch with Spencer. So far I haven’t found a way to combo both assists into Rekkoha, but I’m trying.

Voltage helps me zone with 236A/C, and Armor Piercer gives me good blockstun or wallbounce to reset my zone game (against those who dont zone easily, of course.)

Ryu’s Tatsu (when using him) gives me a way to beat the opponent back (or use him in my relaunch combo mentioned above), plus he DHCs well with Trish and Zero.

One thing I found out I was unaware of til today if you DHC into Rekkoha and then DHC immediately to someone else, it STILL comes out. So when I’m using Ryu and using Shinku, I DHC to Zero then immediately DHC to Trish for Maximum Voltage, while she is blasting him, the Rekkoha comes out for more damage. I’m sure some excellent combos can come out of this, just letting you know since I’ve always had problems DHCing into Rekkoha.

^
Exactly. DHCing into Rekkouka is not that easy. Some supers put the character kind of in a float state (Dormammu’s Chaotic Flame, Trish’s Ground Thunder Fireball Super) after finished which is easy to DHC into Zero. There’s also the type of hard knockdown or ground bounce that Spiderman and Ammy provide. Both of those characters DHC synergy with Zero is perfect.

Zero/Amaterasu/Wesker
My main team as of now each dhc perfectly into each other if i time it right, amaterasu assist is kinda hard to manage and time though but weskers samurai edge is perfect for doing 2 combos and finishing with a super

Zero/Dante/Wesker
My practicing team, although dhc is hard unless cornered dantes jam session is such a good assist it benefits both my wesker and zero for using supers with ease. still getting the hang of dantes combos and huge command list though

Zero/Wesker/Tron
main team though sometimes ill start wesker instead. Trons assiat really helps both zero and wesker plus zero and wesker can dhc pretty good. I really like the OTG wesker gives zero so i can either reset or continue to combo. Tron really right now is just an assist until i make her bettter on poibt which i never really want. Plus if they try to push block me and i call tron i think i can command dash right back.

Hey guys I need some help building a team around Zero. I’ve primarily been a Street Fighter Player since II and Im not very good at marvel but would like to learn to get good at this game. Currently I am experimenting two different teams

Team 1:
Zero : Ryuenjin
Doom: Hidden Missiles
Spider Man: Web Swing

Team 2:
Zero : Shippuga
Doom: Hidden Missiles
TaskMaster: H. Shot.

My third character can vary a bit, but I really want to keep Zero/Doom, I love their synergy, its really good. But any sort of help would really be appreciated.

my team consists of Zero/Hulk/Sent.
Zero is VERY good at alot of pressure. I love Zero as a really fast Rush Down. but when i need to zone i do his Shadow Hyper and spam his fireball to create some chip and time to think what to do next HAHAHA

ive been thinking of putting magneto instead of wesker. Who does zero do better with mags or wesker?

Wesker fits better IMO.

How do you deal with Tron’s DHCs? Tron and Zero don’t fit well in the DHC part.
