What characters are you not allowed to play other than Dante?
Donāt play Dante, Shuma, Wesker or Dorm - the latter three are written as (or claim to be) gods. In Islam, partnering anything with Allah (God) is strictly forbidden so I donāt play them. Donāt plan on playing Ghost Rider or Vergil either.
Its really not a big deal though - just seems like it because most of them are really good. Just forces me to be a bit more creative with the remaining cast, which I feel like Iāve been able to do.

Also, Ammyās so cute though. Hard to not play her.
Never had any interest in Morrigan really but I guess not. Also not interested in Akuma, but never thought of him in the same group as the others. Donāt really know why.

yeah I have to agree with evil toaster dude. dante is a half human/half demon. pretty cool dude, eats pizza , likeās trish, heās got the life. I wonāt question your religious reasons ctg, butā¦letās say dante was in real life, would you hang out with him?
I would ask him to pick up a couple of pizzaās from pizza hut, have zero cut up a couple slices, and celebrate by listening to badass rock music. 
oh yeahā¦forgot these were the zero boards. I just was experimenting with ammyās cold star assist, itās godlike for dante and zero, but not the level three x-factor.

While the "just sayinā " might have been a bit tongue-in-cheek, my intention was educational; just in case you didnāt know, that way you wouldnāt be using something against your morals. Anywho, if you run Doom on hidden missles for vertical support, Mag would make a nice fit niche for the lateral beam support. Of course, you could always run Sentā¦ 
Also, Wesker and Doom tend to be in the same boat as far as the whole āgod complexā goes, although I donāt know if either of them actually voice that about themselves in the game, so they should both be fair game, but idk.

OT: Whose the second best partner for Zero besides Dante?
Sentinel, Doom, Dorm, Magneto, Wesker, Akuma, Ammy, Haggar, and to a lesser extent Skrull and Iron Man are all good with Zero.

I just noticed something, when i use zero backed by subpar characters with crappy assits (example:ryu,chun li) he becomes so godlike sweeping entire teams, but when the team is composed just by top tiers with decent assists(wesker, dormammu), he probably hurts the team a little maybe kill one character, but most of the time, he dies first. Anyone else having this āproblemā?
Wellā¦ Zero likes assists that are not THAT goodā¦ he does not work so well with Tron, Haggar or Akuma, but does a lot of nasty stuff from Amaterasu which is good but not godlikeā¦
Chun-liās assist for example is an awesome combo extender for Zero allowing for double lightning finishers on combos and enabling easy TOD combos
MvC3 is all about sinergy and Zero does not shine the brightest with the most overpowered assists in the game
I play Zero with Arthurās Daggers assist and heās amazing with it.
Akuma and Lariat are great for Zero. All of Doomās assists are great. Sentinelās Drones and Danteās Jam Session are probably the best assists in the game for Zero and are two of the best overall assists in the gameā¦

I donāt agree that Zero hurts any team with other top characters, but I think itās very interesting that the best assists for Zero tend not to be the most overpowered assists in the gameā¦ but yeah, even I have not much clue about what I just wrote in my previous post, youāre right, LOL
If we are taking only about the assists Iron Manās Unibeam is better for Zero than Doomās plasma beam because it doesnāt put the opponent in an airborn state.
Task Master horizontal shot is also a good assist because it comes out quickly.
What i was trying to say is :
Zero backed up by weak characters = destroys teams all by himself
Zero backed up by top tiers = Zero dies first
This strange situation always happen to me that is why use my current team.
soā¦ i play a zero/storm teammm with different anchor/assist variations depending on the match ups (mainly sentinel, akuma, and tron). i know storm doesnāt supply zero with extremely good assists but because of character loyalty AND dhc glitch capability, I canāt seem to let go of storm off my team for dante or doom or any other better character. any tips on what storm assist i should use for zero though? I tend to use whirlwind as a bootleg, slower beam assist but it seems lightning attack has its uses as well. halp please :]
Hi all. Iāve been playing the same team since day 1 (Zero (Hadangeki), Hulk (Gamma Wave), Trish (Peekaboo)). I think i even posted it here in this thread way back on page 7 somewhere.
Anyway, Iām curious as to why people donāt use Hulkās Gamma Wave assist when its just so good for Zero. I know Hulk isnāt considered to be up there in the tiers but Gamma Wave beats literally everything except a fast start up beam super. You can literally command (or wave) dash in with the assist and nothing will touch you because its durability is stupidly high. Itās also really good for locking down the opponent and nasty 50/50 situations, not to mention it OTGās so you can extend your combos after knockdowns and air throws while all the time youāre pushing them to the corner. It does come with a lot of push back when it hits but if you F.H at the right time it locks them in place. I think you lose a slight bit of damage but it gets the job done and lets face it, Zero is all about getting that meter to finish them with a hyper or 3 :).
To round it off, I use Trish as anchor because sheās a beast if you have lvl3 xfactor. She can runaway and rush you down very easily. Her traps are amazing and her Peekaboo assist creates so many mix-ups and lockdown situations for both Hulk and Zero itās almost unfair.
The synergy of the team is very high, each member has a Hyper that will stay on screen after you DHC (Rekkoha, Gamma Quake, Round Harvest) and Gamma crush DHCās to High voltage and Rekkoha or vice versa.
However, as weāve all seen UMvC3 has much stronger keep-away than vanilla and Hulk with a much harder time getting in. Soooo any ideas on who I should consider to replace him (if anyone). Iāve thought about Taskmaster as I believe the aggressive style I play Zero means he needs a good 2/3ās full screen assist with decent durability but Iām not too keen on playing Doom or Hawkeye. Maybe Iāll stick to my guns, Iām just not sure yet.
