But the rocket assist is useless for Zero’s cross-ups

That is what I am most excited about for Ultimate is finding a third that i really enjoy using because right now i play

zero/wovlie/iron man but i dislike using iron man so much but his assist is godlike so im excited to see if i can find a new character that is a good assist that will strenghten my anchor.

btw kef where do you get those sick avatars?

It’s been 3 months since the game has been released, and this is my summary of any team building tips with Zero.

First, in my honest opinion, any team with Zero should atleast heavily consider adding Sentinel-a, Amaterasu-b, and most importantly Doom-a
on the team. This are Zero’s best assist by far (even do Wesker-b and Chun-y are an honorable mention). Sentinel-a just adds MVC2 style screen
control to the match and great rushdown opportunities. Ammy-b keeps pressure and close mix-up potential like no other, it’s long active
frames and Zero’s positive on block offense are a nightmare to deal with. Doom-a, widely considered Zero’s best assist, is the best assist for
teleport cross-ups and for fast fullscreen control. The beam helps Zero zone and mix-up, and thanks to Zero’s loop, it doesn’t matter at all that
the beam doesn’t make the opponent stay grounded.

Those are the best assists IMO, but as partners it’s a bit more different. In my personal experience, Doom is an amazing partner for Zero. Their
TAC combos are amazing and build tons of meter. Their DHC, specially in the corner, does tons from either path (Doom>Zero or Zero>Doom).
Amaterasu makes a good partner too because she actually can make use of Zero’s assist like Ryuenjin and Hadangeki. Hadangeki extends
ground combos and helps zoning, so it is probably the prefered one. Ryuenjin covers the space above Ammy, which isn’t that useful IMO seeing
Ammy is hard to attack from that direction, but it might serve in combos do to it’s long active frames and hitstun (it might allow for Ammy to do
air qcf.H to ground bounce and then finish with an OTG Sword Stance air 3H + Ryuenjiin > Ammy’s air qcf.S). Sentinel needs more experiment, but
is good with DHC synergy. Other mentions include Wolverine, Skrull, and Wesker. Wesker is above the rest just because Sougenmu Hadangeki
assist is great for teleport mix-ups (also helps Dante).

Which skrull assist do you think works best? I’m playing around with zero/ammy/skrull. (My main team is skrull/ammy/sent.)

I know I want to use Zero/strider they’re both so much fun but I don’t know who my third will be any ideas?

Definitely Tenderizer (y). It is great for extending Zero’s combos, especially in ways most assists can’t.

H OTG dive + Tenderizer lets you do launcher TK Lighting, TK Lighting, air buster, Lighting, Dive.

Oh yeah, but Tenderizer is affected by hitstun scaling so might be tough. Or impossible. Not sure.

Recently started using doom rockets the assist is so good like sentinel drones but better(they don’t disappear if doom is hit). opens up zero’s game so much you can be as aggressive as you want b/c even if you get hit a lot of the time the rockets will save you.

I’m stuck between using Doom plasma beam assist or Sentinel Drone assist for zero/dante. I like the plasma beam assist more for zero because of the speed it comes out at, but I think Sentinel is the better anchor character and the drone assist is still really good. So who do you all think is better for zero/dante. Doom or sentinel?

Sent assist if you want insurance and better lockdown (maybe even a better combo extender?), and Doom assist if you want a faster crossup game and a faster zoning game from full screen.

I’m gonna vote for Sentinel too. Recently switched to Toaster’s team and slapping myself for not doing so sooner.

We’ve always said Zero/Dante/Sentinel was a godlike team, no secret Avarice lol. I switched to Magnus/Zero/Sentinel just because I love Magneto.

I always knew it was too, was just too stubborn to play the “easy-mode” Sentinel. Same reason it took so long for me to switch to Akuma, but once I did I thought “well might as well go all the way”.

Hiya Zero experts. I’m experimenting with new teams for Chun and thought Zero might be a decent fit. So I’ve got 2 questions:

Who are some good candidates for the remaining spot?
What would the optimal team order look like?

Chun’s assist is really good for Zero’s combos, but you’ll want an assist that can get you in so it should be something like Zero/Assist/Chun to abuse that XF3 Chun. Magneto, Doom, and Sentinel are good examples of characters for the 2nd slot.

Hey anyone knows in good mixups/setups using zero/task, i remember seeing a video not too long ago of someone using those 2 charecters and i cant find it so i was wondering if maybe someone could link me to it or give me some ideas
