The Zero MvC3 "Team" Thread

Yeah that’s what I was thinking, my only concern is how well Sentinel supports Dante.

Drones help out a lot in and out of combos. With Sentinel you can reset ground bounce with Sky Dance+Drones. You can also teleport between drones that are hitting someone for a cross up if it’s spaced right. And Hysteric+Drones with some acid rain thrown in is pretty much impassable for a lot of characters.

New to SRK!
Hey guys so I’ve been testing out all types of teams, and through out it zero has been my go-to man. My online record isn’t very good, but i just started taking fighting games serious this year. What my problem is I can not find anyone else i connect with like zero, Online i can usually take a whole character sometimes one and half of another’s life easily but i can’t finish through with my last two characters. My Current team right now which I like but not love is Zero/Taskmaster/Akuma

I like taskmaster for his zoning capabilities and i think his a type assist works well with zeros rush down offense. The main reason why i like having akuma on my team is for his B type(I Believe) which is great to get a guy off of you or setup a good combo. I also think he is good as an anchor because a level 3 X factor akuma can do some damage.

So I want yalls suggestions on team combinations i should try out, some I’ve been messin with include: Doom, dante, sentinel, deadpool, and wolverine.

I think you got it all figured out. Those are all great partners for Zero. I prefer Zero/Dante/Sentinel but if you like zoning more try out Zero/Doom/Sentinel, or Doom/Zero/Sentinel since doom is good first too. Zero/Dante/Akuma works nice too if you want to keep Akuma.

Alright thanks, I was playing around with a zero/sentinel/akuma, zero/deadpool/akuma, and zero/dante/sentinel and they all were better to me, than my team with taskmaster. Now i just have to choose which one?

Zero/Sent/Akuma sounds kinda weird to me actually. I would switch around Sent and Akuma if you do. Akuma can use Sent’s assist better than Sent can use Akuma’s IMO. Similar structure to Zero/Dante/Sent but with a, well, worse partner.

Zero/Deadpool/Akuma is Megaman Steve’s team (since I’ve last seen) and it works well. Zero/Dante/Sent is about as good as Zero teams get for rushdown, so it’s a good choice.

Here’s some Zero/Shulk stuff I wrote

There’s a few things they can do together. They can DHC to eachother well enough. Rainbow DHC’s fine after Emerald Cannon, and Emerald Cannon and follow ups can DHC after the Rainbow if you DHC just before the first hit. Otherwise the followups won’t combo.

Zero gets a low+OTG assist out of She Hulk, which gives him some unblockable setups and even some cross up setups due to the long range of She Hulk’s assist. You can call She Hulk before doing an H Hienkyaku for an unblockable, or call her before an L or M Hienkyaku for a cross up.

She Hulk can use Zero’s Shippuga assist like Tron, and cover some of her command throw options in similar ways (works well with H version,) but I think it would be better to just have Tron in that case. Zero can use Tron assist as well, and Zero can then be put on Hadangeki assist which helps out both She Hulk and Tron, especially when he’s powered up with Sougenmu. Call Hadangeki assist, and run forward with She Hulk using Chariot, the projectile goes at the same speed as She Hulk, great cover. Then use Emergency Stop and mix them up.

Zero can use Tron pretty well. No real special way to use her, it’s Tron assist, just do it. Tron loves Sent assist though and so does Zero, so those are good teams. I think CJ Truth runs Zero/Phoenix/Tron and does pretty well. Definitely a hit-and-run team though.

how does zero/dante/magneto sound?
you sacrifice a bit of mixup potential without sentinel but you get a better anchor and magneto’s disruptor works for mixups and as a combo extender for both dante and zero

I personally never liked Mag as anchor/assist character. Like Zero, he makes massive use from assists that I wouldn’t want that power to go untapped. Plus Mag can DHC glitch to both of those characters.

1. doom is probably the best assist for zero, akuma and sentinel are also really good for him. Dante and magneto are really solid with zero as well
2. I think it dependson the team if ur going to DHC glitch then second the spot is where zero should go if ur not then i believe zero should be in the first spot (unless u have wolverine IMO)

i looked at ur vids i dont know if i would say ur better then marn just because u both play zero completely different urs is more of a zone first and his is more of a mindless rushdown but both styles are great…that air zoning is hard to do been practicing it and still cant do it consistently let alone online

If you’re referring to the spider man matches, that’s mainly due to Tron assist. Keeps me from rushing down. Tron assist is definitely a bad matchup for Zero.
