I’ve been messing around every once in a while with this team but never really tried to use it online or get better at it. I want to know if it’d be worth learning this team better:
Hsien-Ko (pendelum), Zero (Ryuenjin), Taskermaster(a)/ Magneto(disruptor)
Would probably work out very well actually. Either Task/Magneto Assist help Zero’s mixup, confirm anything into knockdown>Rekkoha, DHC to Hsien-Ko Hyper Armor and tag out to character of your choice. Pendulum makes Zero’s mixup and pressure insanely strong while Taskmaster can setup unblockables and have a really strong defensive assist behind him and Magneto gets retarded mixup as well.
I’d say give it a shot. Try Task at first since picking up combos from his Arrows is a lot easier than from Disruptor but if Task doesn’t suit you, Magneto can benefit just as well from Hsien-Ko as Task. Only REAL downside to getting rid of Task is that no one on that team can take a hit. But might as well try it out.
So, i think i finaly have a combo that i will keep and a way to improve my team play.
With Zero/Doom/Chris (ryuenjin/hidden missile/gun fire)
Zero :
LM2H6H LMH6H S MM Buster lv 3, raikousen L, S+A1 ,j.MMHS A1 Hit, j. buster lv3 raikousen M
470k, build 1.5 meter
LM2H6H LMH6H S MM Buster lv 3, raikousen L, S+A1 ,j.MMHS A1 Hit, buster lv3 rekkoha
570-614k, build 1/2 meter need to end in the corner. Not that hard with the first half of the combo.
Same with a DHC into Doom 623 hyper : 700-740k, use only half a meter.
Same with a DHC into Chris lv 3 after the DHC into Doom. 1250k, need five bar but kill everything. With the first combo, getting 5 bar may not be that hard.
Same but with Zero’s lv 3, 775k damage, cost 1.5 meter. Doesn’t need to end in the corner so it’s still usefull. Plus, you only have to build a half meter at the start of the round to be able to do it. If you have to do it at the start of the round, chance are you were push in your corner and the damage you received gave you a half meter.
You could do an easier ground combo with Chris’s assist if you so desired. LMH6H Called Chris just before you do 6H, Zero will hit all 3 hits and Chris will shoot him some more, dash and go MH6H S MM lvl3 Buster. Something to keep in mind for punish purposes, Chris’s assist makes it a lot easier to extend ground combos for Zero so if you punish something, you can do that instead and put Chris to some good use. Rest of the combo would work with that too. Although I’d personally use Doom Plasma Beam assist as it won’t fuck up Zero’s combos while still helping with zoning from Chris. Plus the combo wouldn’t be much different. Do the exact same combo except instead of A1 hit>lvl3Buster>etc, you would go Call Doom, jump back Sentsuizan, Doom hits, lvl3 Buster, Rekkoha.
The ground combo with Chris assist might be way easier to do than the loop, i’ll probably do that since i can’t get the timing for the loop right online. Thanks for that, i might never have thought about it.
For Doom’s plasma beam, i played about 150-200 matchs with it and it wasn’t that usefull for me as i thought it would be. Sure, it helped a lot Chris on the ground, even Zero to extend combo with a sentuisan OTG plasma beam S but i was kinda free in the air. Even more with Chris. Since Chris doesn’t really need help controling the ground but can’t do anything against airborn opponent, the missiles help me a lot.
Plus, doing a H grenade that lay a carpet of fire on the ground, using the flammer (4h) and calling hidden missiles is quite fun :3
Right now im running Zero-Amateratsu(coldstar) and Wesker(eagle shot) I am considering flipping and putting amaateratsu on point instead but i like her cold star for zero mix ups. Kind of conflicted right now.
I’m currently running with Zero (A)/ Iron Man (A)/ Sentinel (A), and it’s actually working out pretty well. With Zero on point, you can effectively chain your bread and butter combo (light, medium, heavy (x3), Shippuga) by using Sentinel’s sentinel force [charge] assist during the standing heavy.
So, it’ll look this like:
Light -> Medium -> Heavy + Sentinel Assist (hit them both simultaneously; allow all three of the heavy hits to go through) -> Shippuga -> Light -> Medium -> Heavy (x3) -> Shippuga -> Launcher.
After that, you can do a standard air combo to Rekkoha (QCF hyper) for some really good damage. On characters with low health (I.E Phoenix), you can pretty much kill them with this one combo. It works anywhere on the screen, though the timing of the Shippuga is different when not in the corner.
Likewise, for a little extra damage, you can alternate Iron Man’s uni beam assist during the standing heavy for some additional damage prior to launcher. I haven’t been able to chain it into another bread and butter, so it’s obviously inferior to the aforementioned chain/assist, but it’s a nice alternative for some bonus damage.
Aside from what I’ve just listed, both Iron Man and Sentinel’s assists also work extremely well for helping keep Zero inside and on the rush. Personally, I prefer to use Sentinel’s assist for mix-ups while keeping Iron Man’s to help rush down or keep them in the corner. :karate:
Note: All of the attacks I listed, at least when I do them, are standing.
My team is currently Zero (Hadangeki), Hulk (Gamma Wave), Trish (Peekaboo). This team’s synergy is surprisingly very good. I use hulk gamma wave assist to protect zero on the approach and apply pressure to keep my attacks going should they block and i use Trish’s peekaboo assist for command dash shenanigans, defensive set-ups and yet more pressure to prevent jumping and teleporting characters catching me by surprise.
Trish is my anchor because she’s good at everything, has nice damage and is especially tricky to deal with.
Not to mention I can DHC between characters with ease and as I use hulk, one half decent zero combo into Rekkoha then DHC to gamma crush is easily 800k damage.
Yeah it works really well, i forgot to mention you can pick people up after an Air S with hulks gamma wave and use an instant Sentsuizan and go into Shipugga then re-launch and that can be done after using a buster combo as well so…yeah, big damage.
You can also switch the assists up for Hulk and Trish for different strategy’s but that’s another post for a different thread I guess. xD
I run Storm (whirlwind) Zero (Handeki) Doom (Plasma Beam)
Team has INSANE syrnergy. Storms zones very well alone but, even better with Doom’s beam assists and Zero’s Handeki if hes shadow-cloned. Also due to elemental rage and its dhc quirks I can do over 1 million dmg in the corner for 2 bars (my storm combo carries to the wall from midscreen)!!! Midscreen I can get 900,000 ish with elemental rage into shadow super. I try to switch roles alot with this team, zoning to rushdown back and forth between storm and zero and doom backing them up. This way not one character is doing all the work and can easily switch roles if needed. Zero can use both assits to extend combos, zone, and run mixups. Overall I think the team is really strong and have had alot of success with it so far.
okay I’ve been usins zero, tron, and doom. with doom on beam assist and its been working well for me so far. My question is that tron can function better with doom on rocks assist so I was wonder if rocks is a decent assist for zero as well?
zero dante DHC options with 2 meter are just so good lolll.
after minimum dmg scaling has set in (hit stun scaling doesn’t matter), zero>dante is 420k with 1 acid rain, dante>zero is 450k-500k (!!!)depending on how many hits you get
I was thinking of running zero, shulk, and task. I haven’t had time to actually practice this team, but I was wondering if anyone has used it before and how it worked.
I run Zero (Hadengeki), Hsien-ko (Senpu-bu), and Ammy (Cold-star).
When I get a combo in with zero, I usually build enough to get another meter, so I end with Rekkoha, then DHC to Hsienko’s armor super. If I have another meter, I’ll DHC again into Ammy’s Okami Shuffle. If I don’t, I can still raw tag to Ammy then lay down a paper for a trap/pressure, whole point is to get Hsien-ko into 3rd slot. I can use either Zero or Ammy on point but with Ammy out and enough meter in the corner. I can throw them into Slow Down super, into Zero’s Sougenmu for the DHC trick.
