The shortening of Almas name did piss me off. Fucking why? Bad enough they did but they chose to keep the wrong name. Cien Almas could have worked just fine.

So apparently Maria and Mike Kanellis asked for their release on Monday. Claiming they don’t like how they’ve been used. Which imo is a crock of shit.
This is the time line
They debut
Mike relapses and goes to rehab which takes them off tv.
Mike comes back
Maria announces she’s pregnant which takes them off tv.
Mike comes back without Maria and is relegated to Main Event.
They literally used the wwe system for their own benifit and then bitch about being mismanaged.
Fuck them. Go back to TNA. Literally no one in wwe will miss you. Karl will mis Maria’s butt but that’s about it.

Least we forget, they debuted Mike with the “Beta male who took his wife’s last name” gimmick.

I find it ridiculous that they are unhappy with their positions when the company was unable to use them for most of tenure thanks to Mike’s rehab and Maria’s pregnancy. Being on 205 is the only time they actually got to use them
They debuted them in a joke gimmick where Mike was a beta male second fiddle to his wife. Where does anyone think that gimmick was going to take them? This company can’t even use half the roster it has with GOOD gimmicks right.
Either way, I’m not feeling too sorry for the billion dollar company and the mountain of crap they’ve been pulling the last few months. To say nothing for their history of dumbshittery.

An update to this: Apparently the revival have asked officials for them to do one of two things
A) Release them from their contracts
Or
B) Continue to keep them under contract but let them return to NXT full-time.
They’re honestly the best tag team wwe has had in a long time and they’re arguably the best NXT Tag Team in the brands history. The fact they are booking them the way they are is absurd to me. I get being hesitant because their initial push got stop-started so many times because of injury. However, these guys are arguably the best tag teams in the world today. WWE would be stupid to let them go. I say let them go back to NXT where they’d be happy.
Imagine Revival vs Mustache Mountain? Vs War Raiders, Vs Undisputed? Vs Oney and Burch, vs the Coffey brothers, vs The Grizzled Young Vets (Gibson and Drake). The list goes on.
