I think it’s hilarious how hard Vince wants to break away from pro-wrestling. Nothing works, but he insists on doing it. He is embarrassed by how he acquired his wealth.

You’re thinking of Kevin Dunn. Vince lives and breathes wrestling it’s just he wants to be a multimedia juggernaut (despite already being one because of the wwe) but he has such a booker/carnie mindset he has to put a kayfabe spin on everything which people see right through. Especially when it comes to legit sports like football.
Plus the NFL is gigantic. I don’t know why Vince is trying to create competition to them. It’s just fucking silly.

Vince isn’t doing that, if you bothered to watch the broadcast. He’s retaining every inch of his roles in WWE, and is basically just the money man in the XFL. He’s taking time to get people who actually know what they’re doing for football.
