I was hoping for Brodus to get a run as NXT champion…then have Neville or Zayn feud with him.
It would be hard to justify a NXT champ run for Brodus because of his age.
How did he get fired? I just got back to the WWE after SS so i’m trying to pick up.

Adam Rose defeated Heath Slater. Titus O’Neil was at ringside with Slater. Rose got the win after The Bunny got in the ring and provided distraction.

The Wyatt Family defeated Big Show and Los Matadores. Bray Wyatt caught one of the Matadores with Sister Abigail for the win.

AJ Lee is out next for commentary. Paige defeated Nikki Bella in a non-title match. Fans chanted for CM Punk as AJ entered the ring with the Divas Title after the match. Paige demanded the title and they struggled for it. Nikki laid them both out and posed with the title.

Bo Dallas defeated Jack Swagger. Swagger controlled a lot of the match and they fought outside of the ring. Bo cut a promo and told Swagger to Bo-lieve after the match.

Rusev vs. Roman Reigns ended when Seth Rollins interfered. Rusev wins by DQ. Rollins jumped off the top with his briefcase but Reigns moved and Rollins hit Rusev instead. Reigns sent Rollins to the floor and hit a Superman punch on Rusev. Rollins pulled Reigns to the floor and they brawled over the announcers table. This was a good back and forth match with some good power move sequences.[/details]
WWE has been somewhat of a financial flop so WWE have been clearing out talent and employees to save money.
How weak are you when you require a distraction to defeat Heath Slater?

Normally I’d agree but with how Rusev locks int he clutch & how people like Big E sold it I think it’s fine. Maybe having a second finisher would be okay with impact.
Speaking of, I love Swagger but with the moveset he has him having the Ankle Lock as a finisher makes no sense with him not really working the legs.
I’m convinced the only reason Swagger uses the ankle lock is because they wanted him to be the next Kurt Angle.

Also can the E plzzzzzz either start having the IC & EU belts as show specific titles. Would be easier to build feuds around them & build them up without having to sacrifice build for one over the other.

WWE has a chance to keep Swagger over as a upper midcard guy. His pops have bled into the feud with Dallas. He remained over jobbing and without Zeb. If WWE wanted they could build Swagger up to be the next contender to Brock.
Heyman/Zeb promo wars, 2 legit wrestlers, and both are beasts in the ring.
I really think WWE (Vince) did not anticipate Swagger getting this over.
Much like Ryback and Bryan you have a talent who got over too much without wwe meaning to do so.
The last time wwe got behind two guys who really weren’t groomed by wwe, but were demanded by the audience were cena/batista and those two weren’t really pencilled in.
Jobbing out guys is Vince’s way of punishing talent for getting over.
Oh well. Whereas in nxt mojo is being jobbed for not being over enough.
To be fair, no one in WWE today really works body parts for submission holds in WWE, except ADR when he was there. I think the idea may have become antiquated in the eyes of many, which is too bad, as I always felt that working over a body part gives the illusion of a wrestler having a strategy when going into a match. It’s awesome for storytelling in a match, and can work twofold. A) A wrestler spends the match softening up a body part to use their finisher on. B) A wrestler works spends the match softening up a body part to keep the other wrestler from effectively using their finisher.
Wrestlers not working body parts for submissions has more to do with wrestlers not using submissions as finishers as often.
