Kane is not really imposing anymore, sad to say, so beating him isn’t reaaaaaally an achievement. Even smaller wrestlers have used him as a stepping stone most of the time.
It’ll be Orton or Sheamus going up against Brock next. Only other guys he’s never faced and seemingly believable trying to dethrone the champ

Listening to two of Jericho’s recent podcasts with Batista & cracking up at how dirty Vince was. Apparently a cage match between the two of them where Batista got hit with a weapon & bled, Vince contemplated firing them both.
Ended up fining Malenko, Jericho & Mike Chioda $5 grand each. With Dave getting fined $100 grand. And he even paid the others guys’ fines. That along with the pg stuff is when Dave started to sour on the company. Really good episode if you find it.

Basically confirming what every objective person suspected. This is just depressing. If this is the only offer they are just better off closing up shop because you won’t be able to grow under those circumstances or remain viable. They would literally lose all of its talent from in-ring to announcing. They would truly become the modern version of AWF: Legends of Wrestling. Next thing you’ll know you’ll see Ernest “The Cat” Miller or Scott Steiner as their next champion. I’m just rooting for them to succeed because they really did turn the corner the past couple of months, but it seems as if that it is too little too late. The only question is who is going to die first: AJPW or TNA.
Maybe Tna needs that kind of hard restart. Their current roster is shit IMO outside of a few veterans (Joe and Aries mainly)

The problem is that under their new budget, assuming that they sign to this low-rent channel, they wouldn’t be able to sign any of the top talent and, more importantly, wouldn’t be able to retain their services. When you can’t retain your stars it makes it difficult to be a national promotion or grow beyond an indy status. More important, with a new talent roster with no continuity to the past it makes it harder to retain the hardcore fans. Plus would they be able to satisfy their debts? That is something that people fail to understand about the troublesome news about past due checks or staff not getting paid; whenever a company is behind on checks it means that the bank they go through for the payroll is denying you credit because they are behind on their debt.
That is what is so troubling about all of the stars leaving, the layoffs, and being behind on pay: it suggests that the company is near insolvent and the only thing keeping them from going into Chapter 7 is that the creditors believe there is an opportunity to get their loan and interest back. With Panda deciding to cut back after losing so much money and without the backstop of 12 million a year from Spike the banks might lose total confidence and ask to send the company into bankruptcy.
Nah, it’s not wrong to laugh at that. I mean hell, feuding with Swagger, Rusev was selling the ankle while simultaneously putting The Accolade on. It was a little thing, sure, but a lot of guys don’t do stuff like that.
I wasn’t entirely sold on Rusev, but him selling in that Swagger match was definitely great. It’s the details!
He has improved by leaps in bounds since this spring. Dude’s selling is tremendous and his power moves are sick.

Cena has been a stale fuck since early 2006 when people started noticing his lame ass shtick. That’s really, REALLY a long time. WWE needs to do something new with the guy. I know he sells merchandise and stuff, but still… Making him look strong against Bray ain’t going to help. He is still boring with those “stiff” clotheslines over and over. Is this how the more “edgy” cena will be in the future? If that is the case, he is going to be stuck as the most boring top guy in the wwe ever.

As a touring/wrestling property tna means shit. However as a tv property tna is good. 1.1 is good so is having a million viewers each week. Their recent booking strategy of easy to follow storylines featuring guys in roles where their positives are shown and negatives are hidden is great. If this was due to ousting russo Awesome.
TNA should not tour beyond their means. As a tv property they need to beg somebody to give them a studio.
What’s the deal with mojo rawley? They hype up his strength and agility and he wrestles like king kong bundy. Why is he charging out like warrior if he isn’t doing warrior’s moveset? Guy set power lifting records at his college? Why does he never slam anybody? Why is he not doing flying shoulder tackles, or 3 point stance shoulder tackles or lariats. Why does he wrestle like an obese wrestler?

I’m hoping that Spike is willing to buy the company from the Carters. I really hope so because I am happy that the company was doing everything that I hoped they would do back in April; putting on good shows and build some momentum. Staying on Spike is what’s best for business and if that means selling out then they should do it because going to Velocity would be a horrendous business deal. They wouldn’t resemble a dying WCW then. They would be resembling a dying AWA then and that is far, far, far worse because it is like watching somebody rot away slowly from a disease.
