Ryback should have stayed a face and beat Cena at Extreme Rules for the title in lms. Cena could have put Ryback over. Ryback should have got the belt then even for 1 month. Drop in a triple threat back to cena. cena/bryan at summerslam. Mitb winner orton still cashes in.

If Ryback had been around a few years ago in the talent vacuum, he probably would have made the main event. Now, with the Shield, Bryan and a whole slew of new talent incoming, it’ll be pretty hard for him to climb up the roster again.

If cena gets demolished i think reigns or orton will get that lex luger push. That makes bryan the bret hart in this scenario. But bryan is already a made guy. I would use bryan to put over rollins.
I really think we need to move away from scripted promos. Dudes are coming way better and more charismatic on not WWE television, which makes no sense.

It still wouldn’t help cena though. When cena tries to throw hands he just looks silly. I hate watching him try to fight because it is incredibly awkward. They should just have cena focus on grappling or something.
I would say they just need to let cena retire but they have no one even remotely built up to his level yet. Not even close. Reigns hasn’t even scratched the surface of Cenation/Hulakmania levels of draw power and plot armor.
Punk was the closest person they had. Him being the voice of the voiceless and the best in the world was building him to be a mega star. He could have easily replaced Cena and made wwe into a still gp but alternative brand with punk at the forefront.
