That whole fucking game genie shit from losing the gold to Taker and finally winning the belt back from Khali made Smackdown so hard to watch when he was on it. It was almost literally like the booking crew was saying fuck you to the fans and we are going to have him in the main event no matter what.

They really need to go all the way in changing his character because the Cena era is winding down due to the injuries and the fact that he has peaked as a draw. He needs to really, really change his character some way because they are falling into a trap and that is they are focusing way too much on his merchandise sales without noticing that other areas of the revenue stream is stagnating.

Cena’s presence at the top of the card and the stale sameness of his character has only benefited the merch sales and he caused everything else to come to a standstill as a result, and that is bad for business. Douchetista was his best character by a wide margin because he knew how to play the asshole to perfection.

Ryback lost to mark henry and never won a ppv match ever. Seriously Ryback should be a main event guy right now.
