The Wrestling Thread 2015 - IN THE BOOKS! PLEASE LOCK THREAD MODS!

Skip Sheffield and David Otunga were also both pushed sometime after. Sheffieldback failed due to poor booking and Mr Jennifer Hudson failed off the fact that he sucked in ring.

Otunga has tried to get back into wrestling several times as well, he has a good relationship with pretty much everyone in WWE and people genuinely like the guy. Jennifer Hudson however HATES wrestling and has pretty much told him either stop wrestling or we get a divorce.

Otunga is still under WWE’s payroll isn’t he?

The new JTG.

IT’S ME AUSTIN

Otunga is the face of the be a star campaign. He’s done some great work with the anti bullying movement and I think being a Harvard law grad helps him a lot in terms of what else he can do for the company. It’s definitely hard to hate the guy as he legitimately loves wrestling. But there’s not much to get behind when your gimmick is generic buff flying shoulder block man.

Otunga worked as the Corporate Lawyer, I can see him doing an on air non wrestling persona. He is bad in the ring but has a genuine love for Wrestling and is an all around good guy. I could see him being a heel manager if Hudson would let go of his balls long enough for him to do something he enjoys.

Is Hudson even relevant anymore? Why does she have such an iron grip on his balls?

I kind of feel like WWE needs another brand split. NXT is valuable training for newbies so it can’t be that…but there is just so much talent on the WWE roster, there are at least 10 people who deserve to have the belt right now. You really cannot continue to do Raw/Smackdown with only 1 major title indefinitely…it just doesn’t make sense for all the potential Vince has to work with.

Damn Steen is looking good now. Can’t wait to see IF the creative can DO anything with him and Devitt.

NXT has evolved into a brand. It had it’s own house shows for a while now and with the WWE network it’s own PPVs. There are a lot of guys on NXT that are ready for primetime. Sami Zayn, Enzo & Big Cass, Kalisto, Corey Graves, and Tyler Breeze should be on the main roster by now.

I don’t agree with Enzo and Cass. Cass is still super green and you can tell he isn’t comfortable on the mic.

I don’t agree with Corey graves either. He may actually not be able to get back in the ring ever again. They are still doing tons of impact tests on him from his last concussion (which is why his push and feud with Zayn stopped) they think he concussion shock similar to what Nowinski got.

Cass is not uncomfortable on the mic. He carried himself fine and managed to remain over in the months that Enzo was away. His feud with Aden English was highly entertaining. I read reports about Cass having great chemistry with the female manager he got in house shows when Enzo was away.

What about Corey Graves doesn’t make him ready? I’m talking pre-concussion here.

Even pre-concussion, Graves was mediocre at almost everything. The only thing he had going for his was his “unique look”. Generic mat work, generic promo skills, nothing that really makes him stand out.

That just screams “Kevin Dunn Guy” to me.

All of his extra weight was absorbed by Chris Hero.

Prepare to get bodied by Eva Marie…a lot.

Enzo has it on the Mic,cass has it in the ring.
If you bring them up as a unit it can work,as singles they are not ready.

Then again not many in nxt are polished atm.

Corey was ready but he really needs to find his second gear.

Sami is ready, Tyler is ready, tj is totally ready.
Sasha is ready on the women’s side but she’s really the only one atm.

Kahlisto is no where near ready.
Dude can’t even promo in Spanish atm.

I don’t bo-lieve that would be a good idea. They would skin him, and cook the remains.

-Starhammer-

If we’re going with the Wyatts now being buried and the Dusts being heel, then perhaps a stable merge? All of them wearing gold? A gold version of D-X? I’m just asking.

I liked Tarver the most out of anyone not named Barrett. He was able to get the boxer/wrestler moveset over well and was better on the mic than I anticipated. I think he could’ve developed into an upper midcard staple.

Supposedly he had some heat w/ Cena which ultimately did him in - don’t know how true/false that may be.
