So I competed in an orlando tourney yesterday that I got 2nd in. Aside from some poor choices like 2 pelican tags and some dropped stuff I think I did alright. I’m dissapointed that I didn’t get first though because I felt that I could have done better.

THanks and I don’t like Dante. Never played any of the DMC games so I’m never choosing him. Also this has been my day 1 vanilla team (actually I chose this team after all the character trailers were revealed lol). And idk I’ve just put alot of time into my zero I guess haha. My final bread and butter combo and a DHC variant that kills Wesker. By dropping the crouching :l: at the start, the combo gains 19,000 damage.

Just played in a pretty big local tourney here in florida was super fun and I had a great time. Lost to Flocker and Mike J really solid players. Any notes to take from that I could take from my matches? One thing that I noticed was that I kinda choked during some
VS Flocker: 1:31:00-1:38:40

Against Flocker the first match I felt it went wrong when the super didn’t hit after I did down H w/ phoenix. I was trying to teleport cancel her dive attack but somehow I got a fireball which is obviously unsafe so I tried to use her level 1 super right before she got hit to catch zero but Zero was too short lol.
The 2nd match I lost after it was 1-1. When I whiffed the medium when trying to mixup zero and I didn’t release the buster as well as when I dropped my ammy combo because i didn’t think that vergil would get hit. I felt like if i could have killed vergil or at least done some damage to him w/ ammy then i would have either had alot of momentum on my side or been comfortable enough to play w/ regular phoenix w/ 5 bars or d. phoenix against the two. Also I did a bad xfactor cancel which messed me up too ;(
3rd match which I lost I got caught in the zero vortex once he got the first hit on me and since my whole team has low health if I get in the vortex it’s usually really bad for me lol.
Against Mike J the first match I lost lol yeah I got caught by the Frank W. comeback but I feel like I made the right decision to kill Vergil since it was just frank in the back. Things just didn’t work out.
2nd match i was really flustered after losing to frank west who in my head I felt wasn’t a threat.
And 3rd match I just got locked down and pressured in the corner against mags and dashed in on vergil which was a big mistake lol.

Heh that’s pretty cool. Phoenix has the best snap in the game iirc. I have a combo where I bnb and finish it with snap x4 into l.tk overdrive into super for a finish. Pretty damn risky if you stuff it up, but I use it for a bit more damage/style at the end of a tk trap loop if x factor is running out.
Some phoenix stuff I came up with including an improved D. Phoenix combo that builds 2 bars in the process and does around 1mill.
