Just got one from xKozureOokami that said “cheater! :-(” after I used flash buffering to get out of his ice. I told him about flash buffering and linked him to Mike Z’s video. A couple of minutes later I got a reply: “oh ok”
I also did a lookup on him here and found out he’s a bit notorious for sending hate mail. He was a decent enough Jin player though. He got a lot of legit wins on me.
I’m sure I’ve seen him somewhere in this thread before, but I’ll let you guys know anyway. PSN astlal = ragequitter. Could’ve made a comeback, but I guess Vans just whooped his ass too hard on the second round.

faced a decent Jin (as in, better than me) who demolished me a few matches. I picked the wrong color on accident and then beat him all 3 rounds, then he asked me if he could play “the other guy.” apparently thought I gave the controller over to someone else or something >_> sort of flattering in a weird way.

Don’t rely on it all the time, but it can get you out of a pinch. Basically what happened was I continued to use his flash to wiggle out of the ice into my own DD. All he saw was me getting frozen and suddenly breaking out of it with a DD with mine hit first for the win. It was nice, lol.
Back on topic, I was in a player match the other night and some guy said “drive spam much?” I proceeded to kick the tar out of him for the rest of the match without using drives once. He promptly quit the room after that. Hey, at least he didn’t ragequit and took the licks like a man… I do have to give him credit for that. :smokin:

I have yet to send my own hatemail but I’ve been close to doing so.
Not a hate mail, but after a match with a really good Haku-men, he sent me a message with just a title. “Beast Mode” I complimented him, and got one back after that. It was kind of just a “what?” moment.
I’ll never delete this from my inbox. Best “GG” message I’ll ever get.

Also, I actually got praise mail from bambamazul from PSN after somewhat redeeming myself after suffering an embarrassing loss the first match. I lost the second match but I did hold my own very well. He was a very impressive Noel player.

In other news, I’m confused as to why I don’t get hatemail. I do the stupidest things with Tager, like buffer a 720 out of any guardstun whatsoever (Noel 2A spam cough cough). I wonder where all the ragequitters lurk on this game…
Lol, yeah, you would think this game would be full of rage-quitters and hatemailers, but out of all the matches I’ve played I’ve yet to get any mail, and have only got 1 rage-quitter.

I finally got my first hate mail today. I had Noel and dude had Jin. We were going back and forth the whole match and at the very end I caught dude ducking and won it. Dude sends me a message back calling me a “button smashing bum.” So me being my ole cool self I send him a message back that said “so says the ice car rider. you’ve got a nice Jin but my Noel was just better.” Didn’t hear anything after that though. But I’m like the minority that rarely gets the hate messages and maybe that’s because I try to play with people I know vs random strangers.
Well it’s not so much rage quitters are missing as much as it is hatemailers. I mean I have 11 incomplete games 1 was from my power going out but the other 10 are from people quitting in the middle of a damn match. Trust me they are out there just waiting to pounce and unplug their internetz or turn off their pee ess threez / three six mafia’s…i mean 360’s
Also so far it seems like even if they don’t quit or send you mail there’s tons of hate when they lose because all the good people I play I send friend requests too…and well…only 1 out of around like 14 accepted… =/
