When the patch drops, people are just going to ask about more characters. It’s a never-ending cycle, so I suggest you get used to it.
umm… yeah… except it has proper training mode and fixed netplay. not to mention balance issues =/

this is exactly what is going to happen. i said this months ago. people will find some other reason to not play it.
The good thing is that it’ll make the game easier to get into for the people who don’t mind waiting for characters. Let’s look at thing from a half full perspective a little more, eh?

yea im planning on trying to introduce it to the group ive started playing with, but figured id wait for the patch for things like the move list and stuff rather than tell them i dont know half the commands for characters moves and to just experiment with them.

i know i could do that but then having bits of paper about the place would be kinda lame too. plus i know thered be a million other things id have to go “thats changing in the patch” etc etc.
Digimon Rumble Arena 2 is more fun, despite having a less complex (yet more fun) similar engine.

true. but actually it’s only one page and you don’t need to pause and go through menus to get access to it. so it’s actually more convenient in a way.

All-Stars is fun for what it is I think, Im enjoying the beta as a nice little distraction here and there and I certainly like playing some 2v2. I don’t think I’d see myself paying a 60 dollar price point for the game though, especially after the announcement that Anarchy Reigns is coming out in January at half the price.

I played the Japanese demo to hell and back while it was out.
I remember playing the private beta. It’s not the smash bros clone people make it out to be. It really does have it’s own pace and feel.
I just dont happen to like it. It just feels weird to me and putting familiar characters in it wont really help.
That being said, I’m doing homework while waiting for the patch -_-
The only things that felt somewhat ripped from Smash were the air dodges and grabs.
It’s not a Smash clone in the least though. Even the party game Brawl is loads more technical than All-Stars.
