There’s a Jamaica scene!? Tell me where please!
There is no Jamaica scene. There was a weekly session with a group of people having what basically amounted to a sleep over, but I have never seen or heard of a serious scene here. And that group was all about dicking around in flavour of the month game/regarding stream monster opinion as gospel, so yeah.
Oh, that sounds like every other scene.
So I’ve been told. I think it could have gotten somewhere if people stopped dicking around and took it seriously, but the whole “it’s not worth the effort, it’s just a game” mentality from the already small group of players pretty much killed it. And of course, everybody hates on SG cuz stream monsters say so, lol.

Forcing myself to continue the training mode grind since nobody locally or on xbl is playing this anymore. =/
Just wait on the patch man, dont give up cause the lifeblood that is about to be breathed into the game hasnt come yet.
If after the patch releases and 3-6 months later nobody is playing… Then you might do well to do other things.
But that shouldnt happen as ggpo should open up a whole new world of opponents for you… Mike said that anythng under 200 -250 ping should be playable, which should be good as i imagine that most of your connections to the states should be below that… I live in australia and my ping to the states is around 350… I wont be helped. But maybe i will be able to play some japs at like 200 ping or something…

DO IT! Please, do it. It’s so god damn hard to find a game. I wake up in the morning, try to find a game, no luck, so I play street fighter for a bit. Come back three hours later, nobody is playing. Go do something not video game related for a couple of hours. Come back, and nothing. I only get games from like, 7:00 P.M. to just under 10:00 P.M., and that’s just the same person over and over again. Anybody on XBL add me: “Dat Mahvelous”. I’m shit, but I can’t get better because game is dead… e.e

I play this game and constantly get destroyed but for some reason it never stops being fun for me!
As for what I’ve been doing while waiting for the patch? Trying to get good at the unpatched version ._.
I still training mode away in this game, and go to any locals that have it. Or start one up myself, that and UMVC3. So yeah, I’m doing Skullgirls while waiting for Skullgirls. Hard.
If KoFs online wasn’t so shit, I’d play that instead of this.
If I wasn’t so broke I’d play P4A.
But I am, so I play a dead game while waiting for something that will make the game not dead.
Accent Core drops at the end of the month. I’m gonna take all of the SG time and convert it to GG time until patch is ready.
I still squat on my bed with a room open waiting for matches! And when I get tired of that, I play Outwitters on my iPhone.
Probably going to be playing the Playstation All Stars Beta starting today. Hopefully by the time the beta ends (next week) the patch will be out.

True story, the other night I met someone who was totally new to Skullgirls. He was on deployment when it came out and finally got a chance to pick it up a few days ago.
The first things he said was “I wish they had move-lists” and “when is the patch coming out, isn’t it a bit late.”
I then proceeded to attempt to eat my own face in frustration.
It’s so sad because it’s the truth.
