Ok in general the best way really is to get in his to have a good beam assist with wesker…so when wesker is approaching it will be alot easier to confuse ur oponent. you can also add his heavy teleport wow ur assist is covering. their are variety of situations that u can do u just have to find ur opponent pattern and abuse him for doing it. :slight_smile: pce

So your opponent walks right up to you at the start of the match…

…what do you do?

Walk forward too? Jump back? Crouch block? Assist?

I used to walk forward with Wesker too for the throw, but I usually just ending up eating a combo somehow, so I started jumping back to air block…don’t like being forced to go on the defensive though.

Anyone have any better suggestions?

Ah, watched you videos…all said, you’re probably a better Wesker player than me…

But from a casual player’s viewpoint, for what it’s worth, I think you were better off in the first video jumping away from Magneto w/Wesker sniping, then waiting for an opening, since Magneto was forced to come to you.

In the second vid, trying to force yourself in to Magneto made you eat Magneto/Sentinel assist spam, as I expected. Wesker is quite adept at running away…I would take advantage of it rather than use Wesker with sole teleport/rushdown tactics.

Since you’re in a tournament…I would sadly get Wesker a better assist to replace wolvie, perhaps w/invincible anti-air assist to stop Mag’s mix-ups.

One thing that I was considering was maybe putting wolvie on point and wesker second. I don’t know. My other option is thinking about Akuma instead of wolvie, tatsu assist goes through beam spam IIRC

Wesker ends the combo with teleport, OTG Samurai Edge to Super…How was he able to cancel the gun to super off the OTG without xfactor?

I’m trying it in training mode now with possibly cancelling a teleport or canceling as the bullet releases…it’s pretty hard to time.

Does anyone know what he did there with the first combo?

he did it into team super. Not into maximum wesker. Team super seems to be cancelable from anything.

I would jump back with an attack plus Akuma tatsu. It’s a big gamble though.

I am trying to pick up wesker but I am having a hard time trying to find out his bnb combos I am seeing so many mixed things. Also I am trying to figure like what techs I need to learn with him does he have anything advanced like for example zero you have to be charging in combos.

You can use Team Hyper :a1:+:a2: directly off of :d/f::h:. Especially useful if you don’t have an assist that picks up after j. magic series, OTG shot. So you can do the BnB combo, end with :d/f::h: then go directly into super without an assist. It uses up to 3 meters, depending on how much meter you have and how many partners alive. Can be nice if you have a Hyper that combos well with Max Wesker, like Super Skrull torch or Hailstorm.

One thing I can’t seem to do for the life of me is hit the c.M after the df.H OTG. I know that I can’t mash c.M because it will make me teleport backwards. How early after the OTG should I be hitting c.M?

Anyways, the trick to landing the cr.M after the otg is, like someone mentioned before on one of the threads here, pressing it as Wesker stashes away his gun in his jacket. When you see his hand get in there, just do it, and you’ll be able to combo. Once you do it once, you’ll understand the timing and it’ll be a lot easier.

I still can’t seem to get it. I wait until the gun goes into the jacket and I hit cr.M and it still doesn’t work. The dummy resets and block before I can get the hit in.

under which situation are you doing it? Again, you cannot do it after an air-combo into j.S.

Ah! That’s why I can’t do it. So it only works with qcf.L or qcf.M? Basically it only works after a soft knock down?

Well, they’re still hard knockdowns, just not off j.S

You can do it after M. Command Grab, :qcf::l: and air-throw!

You can’t do it after :qcf::m:, because as soon as they hit the floor, they can tech roll.

Usually, if they are trying to press me into a corner, I push back, then, when the match starts, I jump straight up. Everyone seems to go straight for that crouching attack, STILL.

If they are backing up, oh, I’m gonna chase them down because that typically means they want to play runaway.

If they start the match standing still, so will I.

3.) If throw attempt was successful start offensive setups otherwise go to 4.
4.) Break away situation high counter if lands combo otherwise go to 5.
5.) high counter wiffs cancel to counter hyper

I guarantee that they will press a button some where along there especially after the break away…

I still think my original post was legit especially if you mind game by jumping early they are less likely to try and throw
