I agree. All my friends worked retail when I was younger and I did landscaping and other jobs like that and always brought home like 100 more a week and never worked nights. Much better to me

If it’s the same as it was at McDonalds, it should be pretty simple. You bring in the bucket, (Or whatever container they use. It’ll most likely be metal as nothing else would be able to handle 400-600 degrees worth of grease) You’ll have to center it under the outlet for the grease trap. It may splash, so if there’s anyone there that you don’t like, hide behind them when you open the outlet. Once it empties into the bucket, make sure you close the trap again. Someone might run in behind you and pour the new grease in…which will promptly empty itself onto the floor. If they have any good, thick gloves around to help protect your hands from possible grease spills, use them! If they don’t have them, GET 'EM!!! They should provide them because if that hot ass grease hits any part of your bare skin, you best believe you are gonna scream so loud it’ll probably short out the power for a minute or two. Worse, that shit will NOT heal by tomorrow. Don’t get too worried though. it hardly ever happens and it only got me once in six years. They should show you what’s up. If they try to stick you with ol’ dave jr, you already know to double-check whatever he’s gonna tell you.

Here at Sonic we have drains that actually are underground that go to this big grease dumpster next to the trash dumpsters out side. so the only grease pouring we do is to refill the fryers or to empty the drains from the grill which is mostly left over crispy burger shit, the grill catcher isnt hot.
but anyway,the only unsafe thing is we get a little pot and pour grease around the fryer thats empty to sort of clean the crumbs off it.
If you are 21, I recommend applying at a temp agency and get some factory work, I’ve worked fast food and it is complete ass.
They don’t pay well, you could just as easily get a factory job that pays you 10+ an hour.
I’m a janitor making 10, and my job is really relaxed, I don’t have to deal with customers, I get to smoke, listen to music.
Do your self a huge favor and apply at a temp agency if you are willing to work full time.

Someone is going to end up whupping his ass sooner or later,the tension is growing high,im happy i just go in once a week now.I dont have to deal with that fool on a daily basis.I know some people who know him,and they all say he is an asshole.and has been doing the SAME job since High School but at diff fast food spots.smdh,its not him working at fast food spots its this dude’s attitude.He just wants to control others and he wants to sit up and not work.Another thing that got me pissed today,is I forgot my jacket and my backpack in the break room.As I was walking thru the kitchen this ass goes “What ur doing back here?” I go “I forgot my jack-he cuts me off” then he goes “SOMEONE STOLE UR BIKE” then i say "nah i walk-(i walked to work today)cuts me off in front of everyone “Remember to put ur bike in the back of the dumpster”.Im like damn this dude is blowing my spot up,he’s trying to shit on me just cuz I rode my bike to work a few days ago.So I said to myself fuck it and ignored him walked right past him and let him keep talking and laughing,i came out the backroom with my jacket and backpack and I heard a complete silence walking thru the kitchen and out the store.

I think it’s pretty clear that he wants you to quit. For whatever the reason, that’s just the way it is. The easiest way to get rid of somebody without too much involvement or commotion is to force them not to come. That’s what managers do, they don’t care about how fast you are working. How can you get mad at somebody for moving “too fast?”
This is why I hate managers. Nothing you say to them will change anything, they gut out the ones who will speak out against them.
you really need to go to the GM (head manager, aka General Manager) and at least let him know this has been going on. Let the manager know you feel uncomfortable being yelled at for apologizing, and with the way the manager has been speaking to you. If you value your job at all, this is 100% necessary, or that Ass Manager (or Co Manager, or shift supervisor) is going to work his magic and get you fired.
Just find some time to speak to the manager for a few minutes. Don’t paint the other manager as a villain, just try to explain that you feel uncomfortable with he has been treating you.
And don’t do what I did to leave Wendy’s, and call a fat manager Kong then throw a handful of freshly cooked fries in her face and say “eat up Kong”. Apparently they call that “burning bridges”
let me get this straight, you work at a fastfood restaurant and you can only eat 1 free mail a day? theyre some greedy ass fucks. the food is cheap and bad for your health, yet they only give you 1 free meal a day.

Hotel work was the shit. I did that for about 6 months. You know just cleanin up the rooms an shit. Work was stupid easy, pay was decent, hot bitches everywhere and i napped whenever the fuck i wanted cuz i worked alone. Was the easiest job i ever had.
