is the board game any good? i still got the board game but i never played it. i liked it for the ed 209’s and those dudes in those armours, and the monster/human hybrids. had it since i was a kid but it was too hard to understand as a kid from what i remember. shit looked way better than monopoly, but i never did get it.
So. Fucking. Hype.
Inquisitors would be cool for a new race. Not my favorite but they could do some cool stuff.
Relicnews | Retribution to use Steamworks, not GFWL. MP beta announced
Relic announced today that Dawn of War 2: Retribution will make use of Steamworks, rather than Games for Windows Live, to handle their multiplayer match making and ranking. In addition, Relic will make full use of the Steamworks suite, such as friends lists, achievements, groups, etc.
The move to Steamworks will also allow us to provide features like guest passes, free multiplayer weekends, pre-loading and the ability to provide fast turn-around on future patches and updates.
Because Retribution is a stand alone expansion, Dawn of War 2 vanilla and Chaos Rising will continue to use GFWL for the matchmaking.
Relic also announced that they will have a multiplayer beta for Retribution to test out the game and its integration with Steamworks. The date has not been announced yet so stay tuned for that.
I Prefer Steamworks over GFWL anyway…
