I’m into the Blood bowl TT game, mainly a dwarf player, and not sure if I wanna get the PC version or the 360. From what I hear the only difference is between the real time version, in the PC game it’s more of an RTS, while the 360 will be like madden.
Of course, I’m just going to play the actual table-top turn based game anyway, so I don’t know why I’m even bothering.
Dawn of War 2 makes me wanna load up warhammer online and play an orc, it’s frustrating

The PC game has both modes, so there is no real reason to get it on XBOX360 unless you jerk off to the achievements. I found the PC version for 20 bucks on eBay, should be playing it soon. I use Orcs/Chaos, but we’ll see how it goes in LRB5.

Would this be your first time playing LRB5? There are quite a few difference when making your team, such as Fan Factor is not as big of a deal as it was in LRB4. Alot of difference skills were buffed, nerfed, and out right removed.
The only thing I don’t like is the new fouling rule. there is no more “ref has his eye on you” aspect. If you role doubles on a foul, even without breaking armor, you are out. So it loses some of the tactical decisions you used to make in LRB4 when choosing to foul.
I’ve played LRB5 against AI on my DS, but I’ve only played against real people on Fumbbl using LRB4. I honestly prefer LRB4 just because I like that you have to sacrifice funds for rerolls instead of LRB5 when FF is more or less useless. There are some other cool things though, like Chaos getting mutation on all skill rolls instead of just on doubles, even if most mutations were nerfed.
Regardless, I only really play Orc and to a lesser extent Chaos, so LRB4 -> LRB5 isn’t a huge difference.

Yeah, it does seem like LRB5 took some choices away, such as fouling or deciding between rerolls or fan factor, but like you said the differences are pretty minimal.
I looked over the experimental LRB6 rules and it’s practically LRB5 will minor clarifications on certain skills. The one cool thing is the Blood bowl rules committe has created three new teams that were approved by games workshop, but won’t be put into print until they have enough figures to sale.

I’m thinking about proxy’ing a slann team for some real life games with my friends. Would be a blast playing a bunch of frogs, or even better battle toads!

The Last Stand comes out today. I think ETA is 12:00 PST. Anyone going to be playing this? I can’t today due to work, but I will tomorrow. I don’t even like the game much, but I do like horde modes.

Wow…Last Stand is fuckin cool.
Played some scrims, but we kept getting peaced out at lvl 7.
After 3 tries…we gave up.
Last stand is awesome. I got to Wave 10 on my first game, but my team left afterwards (because I was a noob). Then I got a new team and got to 10 again. I left that team to mess with my headset (my mic will not work). Got one more team, that I played three games with, and we couldn’t get past Wave 9. This was probably due to a shitty, energy build, Farseer, and no Force Commander.
and i got to wave 20 then got our ass handed to us. Jesus i dont want to spoil it for those who havent seen wave 20.
Anyone here kill that wave 20 yet. i went ahead and hit level 20 on my SM but then i did the Elite upgrade…
now im full of regret because that token is only for score whores.
