Lori was the cause of this shit. The more I watch this show, the more she reminds me of Renee Zellweger’s character in Appaloosa. What did my man Viggo say in that movie? Something along the lines of ol’ girl always needing to be with the head stallion? That’s the kind of bitch Lori is. She cold gamed Shane into stuck-on-stupid status like a motherfucker, but still has him on the backburner. Bet 5 that she’d be back on his sack if Rick were to go down. On another note, this Lauren Cohan chick is kind of the business. Cute country accent, nice little frame, little booty in disguise…impressive.
I really hope they decide to just completely ignore the comic and the show just becomes Shane and Rick wrecking everyone’s shit.
I’ll be disappointed if Shane is taken out soon. Nobody on this show captures your attention nearly as well as Shane and Rick and I shudder to imagine what the show would be like with Shane gone.
I’m just remembering this now, but did Lori actually use her trip to “rescue” Rick as evidence that she’s doing her part to defend everyone?

Atmospherically, I’m not feeling this season nearly as much as Season 1. S1 had a lot of action with drama built in…
This feels like stuck on a farm drama with some walkers thrown in.

I’m thinking the Prison might end up being like a big part of Season 3, and the Governor won’t show up until midway at least. But part of me fears they’re going to skip it entirely. They’re spending a lot of time on the farm when they should have been going already. They’re obviously under budget constraints with all the artsy field zombie nonsense going on. Hell Hershel, Glenn, Dale and Daryl weren’t even seen in this episode at all to save a buck.
My fear is that the compound we just saw, that is going to become the prison. It had a secure perimeter, gates, buildings, zombies, etc. I feel like they’ll just get the group and go back to there to live, and take the guy with them. Then they’ll lose out on the prison, but they’ll get this new state building which acts like a mini prison.
They’re already going to not have one of the most memorable moments, due to the lack of kid characters tagging along

The fucked part is budget concerns are total horseshit.
Look at Mad Men and Breaking Bad.
Breaking bad is exactly the kind of show you can scale back on and really fuck Mad Men the show is boring as fuck and WD crush’s it in the ratings.
Someone has a hard on for their “Artistic Vision” when it come’s to doling out the skrilla and they are tight pursed because a “Comic Book” based show is tightening their asshole.
Please just sell WD off to HBO so this can be done properly.
