The Walking Dead - A New Series from AMC

lol I love the morons who think that killing a man in a horrific way makes you manly or a bad ass. You can argue there was no other choice, but calling someone else a Pillow soft bitch because they think it was a dick move is just funny.

PS Live meat doesn’t make sense when walkers ate the legs off the dead guy who was hanging.

My hate for Shane was mostly influenced by the fact that he tried to hop on his best friend’s wife as soon as he found out he was supposedly dead. But I can understand why Shane needed to do what he had to do and now that I think about it logically, it probably was the right choice.

I was under the impression that the dude tried to hang himself but he did a shitty job at it, didn’t die, got his legs eaten, turned into a zombie. Didn’t Daryl say something like that? I forgot.

You would be one of the first ones eaten. lol dick move, offering to sacrifice himself first, then doing what needed to be done to save yourself and a young kid. Yeah, what a dick!

Shane didn’t see the hanging guy, also the survivors have come across many corpses of dead, uneaten bodies. It makes sense for Shane to think the zombies are more attracted to live meat.

Not only that, the guy who hung himself WASN’T DEAD when he got his legs eaten. You can’t turn into a zombie if you’re bitten AFTER you die.

^_-;

the moment shane fucked homeboy’s wife is the moment he was bottom barrel for my tastes. on top of that, he tried to take advantage of her when they were in the underground bunker. guy’s a scumbag. in a way, I feel like he redeemed himself a bit by sacrificing otis but it’s still fucked up. either way, he’s definitely one of the most complex characters in the show. p.s. I FUCKING LOVE THIS SHOW.

oh and fuck the wife too. what a bitch. first she fucked her husband’s best friend, which can kind of be forgiveable but on top of that she considered the option that her son was better off dead. what a bitchhhh. my 2 favorite characters are captain redneck and mr sherrif. as you can tell i have a terrible memory for character names

he kind of reminds me of magneto. a total fucking boss but his morals are complex and questionable, yet his decisions can be considered “logical”

and props to shane for having his homeboy’s back. it seems like he’s still eyeball fucking homegirl, but that’s to be expected once you’ve railed her multiple times. c’est la vie

It’s more of a fresh vs. decayed thing. The other walkers feasted on him because he was an easy meal. He knew he was a goner and instead of shooting himself, killing the brain so there wouldn’t be another walker out there, he hanged himself, which did NOTHING for his zombfication. He ended up as a walker(?) on a rope.

I know this. It was made obvious that he killed himself after being bitten, more than likely had his legs eaten, and then turned into a zombie.

I think that right after you die, your body would still be pretty warm and have that nice “human” smell to it regardless for a little bit. So zombies might have possibly eaten his legs15 minutes later? idk, just seems dumb to hang yourself if there’s zombies right there to eat your legs. Could have stayed up the damn tree.

For the record Otis was in the air once he did what he did (sorry can’t make a spoiler thing from my phone).
I can’t wait for them to reveal what the guy from the cdc said in that whisper after they all got their blood tests. I think I know what it was.

Sent using my Evo…not the 3D ish…eff 3D!

Bro for the last time he was not attempting to create a meal he was creating a distraction and that needs to wiggle and kick and complain about someone being shot in the leg in the manliest move televised in years.

LOL at the brains! mmmmmmm
coulda eaten that shyt with a spoon or just sucked it out!

Next eP* I was wondering if they got followed too… as soon as the truck pulled up I thought that

so I didn’t miss last weeks ep but I missed the week before that one and let me tell you, there is A LOT of zombies in the school!

Someone needs to send the kids to bed and stop letting them read the Zombie survival guide.

The note on the tree he wrote said he was bitten and suffering from the fever before he hung himself or in other words he was already becoming a walker when he chose to kill himself. To which (Forget his name) said “Dumbass should have shot himself in the head” implying that the way the guy in the tree killed himself didn’t prevent him from becoming a walker.

And also you don’t live for 15 minutes after hanging yourself. You either suffocate, pass out from the lack of blood to your brain, or your neck is broken immediately. You die rather fast or are at least passed out within a couple minutes. There is almost no way to hang by the neck and not suffer incredible damage which is why it was a preferred method of execution because it almost always guaranteed death within a short time frame. So by the time the other walkers were around to eat his legs he was either unconscious or dead unless the walkers were right there at the very moment he hung himself.

So that argument is out the window. Fresh Dead meat seems to be just as tasty as live meat.

Again you can say he had no other choice, but to call the move badass or manly is stupid because let’s face it, it was cold blooded murder no matter how you cut it. At the moment no one else knows about it because it was only Shane and Otis, but if someone else was there how do you think they would react to such an act? Do you think they would run up and high five Shane?

When has cold-blooded murder been anything but badass or manly in film or television?

The thing in the tree definitely has some sort of loopholes, they implied that the walkers came and ate his legs after he had turned, which doesn’t fit with the rest of the zombie behavior. But then again we have zombies who walk 5 feet from a dude with a huge slash on his arm, and they don’t respond to the scent. I think these zombies are definitely sight and sound orientated, and not smell orientated, so having a dead dude on the ground wouldn’t attract any attention regardless of how fresh his meat was. But a dude thrashing on a noose, or a writhing shot guy, does get their attention. So yeah.

Also, had a thought about the girl; and chance Merle got ahold of her and is gonna use her as part of his revenge on the group?

But that doesn’t make sense. I think during the vatos ep. Rick and Glenn covered themselves with blood and guts to disguise their scent from the zombies.

I’m a fan of not questioning the minor details that have no overall impact on the story.

On another subject, I don’t think Shane is that bad of a guy (in season one). Picture if Rick actually HAD died in the hospital. Shane saved his family, took care of his son, protected his son and wife, and organized a band of survivors which would be a lot more numerous right now if Rick HADN’T held all the people with guns up in the city.(If you recall, they went back to the city to get Merle and then zombies attacked the camp).

In any other series, he’d be the hero. And he’s ten times as heroic as in the comics imho. He [S]does [/S]did have genuine feelings for Lori, and he really did think Rick died.

And, if you notice, Shane wasn’t in love with Lori since before Z-Day (heh). The whole point of the opening of Episode 2.02 was that Shane and Lori only had their first meaningful conversation the day Rick got shot. Also, we can see that Lori may have simply not loved Rick all along. I’m willing to bet that she led Shane on more so than the other way around.

Not saying Shane’s a good guy. Shane makes morally grey look pretty damn dark at this point. But I don’t think the Lori thing was on him so much as her.

But none of this matters at this point since Shane has obviously lost his mind.

Shane having sex with his “dead” best friend’s wife wasn’t all that grimy considering the situation, but the wife’s decision to “move on” so fast is pretty indicative of her innate bitch-ocity.

Shane’s rape attempt was his way of trying to secure his dominance he had over her and the group, he’s a blatant asshole who could only keep it together when he felt like he was in power, once that was stripped he’s shown his true insecure face.

Rick, on the other hand, became the de-facto leader due to his empathy, bravery and smarts, he took charge when needed and relented to reasonable group decision like a true leader. That’s why the group quickly respected him, and he never had to compromise his integrity like Shane does.

Well what they believed worked, and what actually worked, is way different. I mean the season opener kind of shows they’re not driven by scent, only what they can see/hear. But they didn’t really know that back in the day, and they probably still don’t based on their limited perspective. They don’t seem to be trying to figure it out so much as just survive.

Ah ok. Makes sense now.

Then again it could just be bad writing haha. I havent read the graphic novels so I don’t know how it happened in there
