Best thing about the whole episode was the CDC guy.
This episode could have been done in 15 mins. 20 if they actually took the time to show Father and Son listening to the hand radio and making plans to move.
The show is certainly going towards sloppy but a new season can change that (and probably will change that).

yeah i spent a lot of this episode looking at the clock, wondering when they were going to get some shit done.

Also watching british show Survivors…Its very similar just without the zombies, you guys should check it out…
I’ve seen Survivors. It’s an alright show, but the original series did a better job depicting the overwhelming despair of surviving in a post apocalyptic world. The new series doesn’t capture that at all and everyone immediately finds one another, move into a big comfy mansion right away and they didn’t seem to struggle at all.
In the original series it was a real ordeal just to survive day by day and not everyone got along so swimmingly, especially the character Tom. This guy was a true criminal/social path and made the modern counterpart look like a saint.
Anyway, you should check out the original series if you can find it.

I hope the show just takes a different road on the death/turning of some characters.
I didnt read the comic that much. But I know the prison (if they include it) will be a grotesque arc

The show has been getting progressively worse with each episode. Am I the only one that finds it cheesy at times so far? Not saying it all bad though.
I dont like the inclusion of this CDC guy so early on. I think they would need to fend for themselves more and draw there on conclusions to whats going on. Not some guy feeding them scientific explanations.

When they dropped him off. The camera was all shakin behind them. Too secluded to be just another angle imo.

I actually LIKED the episode. The character interactions were fantastic. I really don’t need a zombie tv show to have a zombie kill EVERY episode. I dont need Star Trek style red shirts getting off’d every episode.

No. That guy was fat. CDC shit is stupid. The Shane Rick relationship should have started to come to a boil right now.
I guess this all makes sense because they didn’t know if they were going to be renewed and that is why the story is so stupid and bad.
I think they just used all their zombie budget in the first episode. Still, isn’t any excuse for the show to be so bad.
It’s like they can sense what we are thinking.
I just hope that season 2 brings more episodes like the first one.
