To me, someone who has read the entirety of the comic to it’s current issue, there are more than enough differences to not warrant spoilers, specially since we’re talking about something different, but, if the majority wants it, I can’t fight.
If it’s so different that we don’t need spoilers, then why even bring up the comics in the show thread?
Because making a different thread is just bothersome, and most people watch the show and read the comics.
It’s also fun to compare and contrast, which is what most people do when they talk about comics in this thread.

I’ll make this simple for you to understand. People who don’t read the comic don’t know about the differences so everything is suspect. This isn’t like Marvel or DC comics which have been around for decades where a movie or tv show made today has many different eras and story arcs to pull from. The Walking Dead’s characters aren’t cultural icons yet like Star Wars or Batman.
The show isn’t doing a whole 180 from the comic books either so anything brought up from the comic books after what transpires in the show OR the way characters are written for the comic versus how they are written for the show, has an impact on people who are only watching the show.
But above all it’s just about respect and common courtesy. Enough people are asking you and others just to type out a little extra for those not following the book. Stop debating it and just do it. Please.
