I dig your style. It’s kind of like One Piece/Bobobo/the first Jet Set Radio? (I guess). More interesting than the usual ‘anime’ look.
Usually I try to only respond when I have art to post because I don’t want to make this the “Oh Daddy pay attention to me” thread, but since I don’t have the internet at my house and haven’t finished the stupid Mihawk picture yet, I’ll just type some crap now.
Thanks for digging my style brah. At the very basic ingredients of it, I’m trying to combine American animation (disney, some bruce timm in there, alex toth maybe?) with Japanese animation/manga stuff. Maybe the strengths of both? It really isn’t set in stone because I still have so much to learn.
Oda is a very big influence on me. Hiromu Arakawa (FMA lady), Disney animation, Kirby, Toth, Scott Kollins, and All Star Superman/All Star Batman Frank Quietly are some of my biggest influences. Keep that shit clean and stylish.
I think the new faded monochrome/analogous color style suits your stuff very well. reminiscent of issues of Japanese comics where the artwork is printed on colored paper.
It’s pretty much me just doing analog toning (aka simple shading), I have to learn how to do so better to help my simple art pop (and lock?)

Trafalgar Law from One Piece. All I do is draw something from One Piece every 4 months it seems. It’s a light schedule that works for me.
