Shit is crazy, I was talking with caliagent and he said he’s going to try again today and get back to me. I’m rootin for him cause the stores around here where I stay on base now blow, but the ones around his area(where I actually really live) are good and I got hope that someone will be on it.
Maaan if my boy Mike still worked at Target I probably could’ve gotten caliagent to get a copy of the game from him, and mailed some to some of you guys here.
Hows the ranking system for the 360?
For anyone that may have it,does anyone know how updated the Version C port is for the 360 version?
If I recall correctly, the earlier Version C update there was only a handful of extra items added but in the last couple of updates(I think there are monthly or bi monthly updates the arcade cabinets can install) they added. . .
1.The ability to mix and match your costume pieces (Costume C’s shirt with Costume B’s pants etc)
2.Plugging custom character intros into your replays,
3.More items like a Flaming Dragon bracelet that gets bigger flames as you win,and believe it or not the current hairstyle that Chibita seems to have that you can equip to Lion and other characters.
So from what I described can anyone confirm if it’s the early Version C(handful of new items) or the current one in arcades(costume mixing,custom intros in replays,etc)?

Check. Just like the arcade, you can only mix and match certain items with the options, but you can mix some of them.

Pants are universal in arcade but not on the console version I hear.
There is no intro customization.
The X360 VF5 Brady Guide has a list of all the items, I think it goes on sale on the 30th along with the game.

^^I purchased a retail copy this very day (in the UK), so that sounds like bullshit.
Yeah, some characters gained new properties on moves, new options for juggles, lost some juggles, etc. Nothing really major or drastic for the most part.
Homeboy must not have known what he was talking about. The game is set to ship Tuesday, but some stores already have it.
Eurogamer has a review up. Score : 9/10.
According to the review, online apparently works “pretty damn well”.

It plays so well online, I’m amazed. Only having played hyper/3s before, this is 100x better. I really don’t understand why there’s so little lag.
I’m so happy I picked this up. I’ve never spent anytime trying to get good at VF but I think this is the game to make me do it. Don’t know if this has been mentioned before but if you have you 360 language set to japanese then the game acts exactly like the jap version, with the japanese commentary/menus etc.
EDIT: oh yeah and if you’re using the EX stick be sure to change both player 1 and 2 button config. Because when you go online and you happen to be player 2 all your buttons will be fucked up. Unfortunately I learned this after entering a game and you can’t change mid match.
I’m happy to hear that man. My friends and I think VF is probably the most underated fighter out there. I really hope this helps more people realize it’s not -that- hard to learn and for all the competitive players out there, help them realize how great of a game this can be for tournament play.
