EBgames has that Hori stick posted up for the 360. I wonder what it’s gona be like though. Price-wise, it’s above the PS3 Fighter’s Stick one, but also under the HRAP3. Hmmm…
so is there any kakuto shinsei IV footage yet that anyone’s seen?
if you like fighting games,
get a ps3
it just makes your life easier trust me
I wouldn’t sell the 360 though.
What i’m afraid of the most is that the price is going to drop the moment i buy it.
I got VF5 for the PS3 around $40. When it came out it was like $60 and still is I think.
Manager at a game store hooked me up.
the price for vf5 aint an issue. it’s the price for ps3.
Pretty ridiculous I know, my brother bought one and I just play off his. If money’s the issue you can sell unwanted items you don’t need anymore. It’ll probably be a slower process, but it’ll jump start you to getting the PS3 for VF5.
Is the soundtrack for this released yet? I want to pick it up.
Same here. Why doesn’t it have a sound test like the old VF’s? Or did I overlook it - because I searched like everywhere…
Naw money isn’t the issue, it’s that I’m a cheapskate when it comes to buying stuff like this. I feel as though it’s just a shitty investment, if i’d even call it an investment.
Truer words could not be said. VF5, Tekken DR, Tekken 6 (eventaully), plus backwards compatibility on all the other 2D/3D fighters we all know and love (save DOA, well, ok, DOA2, but that was a while ago).
I honestly wish they would make this shit online though. I get that they have tried to do so, and I get that there can be major lag, esp with 60 frames/second, but I’m sick of not having other people to play with and I would put up with it if it meant that I could play online.
Look for people, make a thread in srk or look up the few threads on VFDC regarding VF5 in Chicago land.
Seriously, how many times do I see people post about no comp when I’ve never seen them even try to look for it. I drive every thursday 25 minutes and every saturday 45 to an hour for VF comp. If you live in a major city like chicago or nyc I don’t get why it’s hard to get out and look for comp, it HAS to be easier than here in southern california where cars and freeways are everything.
Also, like Slide said, buying a PS3 sucks for the price. I’m not cheap, just very very poor.
ebay $30
I think you can get it off of VFNET for download. I haven’t heard of a soundtrack release yet though.
When I said that, I meant online
HK-VF transcoded the online broadcasts of KS4 and has made them available to stream here.
Keep in mind that the file sizes range from 60-180MB. Use your favorite transcoder to capture them.
Unfortunately, one of the broadcasts (#3) is missing. Also, like two or three of these end abruptly (missing like the last 2-5 minutes).
Each of the broadcasts are long, typically between 20-35 minutes each (KS4 makes up a good number of hours).
ENJOY!

Otenami Haiken 5 - Tournament Videos
If you’d like some more huge tournament vidoes, there’s the other big VF5 tournament that happened around November last year–OTENAMI HAIKEN 5!
This tournament is a great watch and the live broadcast is very well done. On the live broadcast, you’ll see the players as they play and really get a feel for the atmosphere of the tournament. I find it much better for appreciating the intensity of the match and getting more hooked into it.
To get that live broadcast, you’ll have to get the full coverage file which is 895.3MB.
The individual matches are direct captures though, so you’ll get the highest quality. You won’t see the players or hear the crazy announcer (real life commentator) or hear the reactions in the background. You will definitely want the direct capture of the final match though, because the live broadcast cuts off in the final round of that match or so (talk about unintended drama).
