If I do not own a PS3 yet (won’t be buying one for a while), but am slightly interested in the Virtua Fighter series, would it be worth it to get VF4: EVO for the PS2?
I know it’s outdated, but aside from VF5, it’s the “newest” consolized VF out there. Again, just gauging interest in VF, not pledging my soul to it.
^^If you have any interest in VF, do yourself a favor and get VF4:Evo.
The free training, tutorial mode and advanced tactics will teach you all you need to know how to play. The quest mode has objectives that makes you practice techniques plus has probably the best A.I. in any fighting game.
It’s that good. :karate:
If you can handle VF4:Evo I’m sure you can adjust when you finally get to play VF5.
i think it just natively supports those modes, but i think the textures and engine were designed from the ground up for 720p. i noticed some texture issues in 1080p. either way, it looks tight, thats all that matters on a graphic standpoint =)
I was practicing in the dojo. I got to several moves that asked to perform a punch or kick from the offense or defensive move. Could someone tell me what those are, since the instruction manual is in Japanese (and I looked in Gamefaqs for a move guide).
evilmuffin there are 2 voices available for MC, the English and the Japanese. The english is worse imo but in your case just turn them off and play the game.
Also that Kotaku article is rather poor because it’s obvious sales would suck in Japan because the Japanese have Arcades. Why waste $600 for just one game? PS3 sucks, VF5 is god, nuff said.
Majority of the 600,00 are not in public/gaming hands. They are circulating on the internet building up massive money. Remember the chinese?
And once again, $600 bucks for a console is just outrageous, especially for the japanese. Chances are they heard of the 360 port as well and are just being skeptical. No need to buy it now especially since they can still play it in arcade which is everywhere in Japan.
