The VF5 Thread: The future IS now. RIGHT NOW

Some of that doesn’t look like intro fodder like the last VF4 mod intros. I like the change.

As do I. I just hope that they can also keep the fun in with the realism, and not make VF boring(to those who find it fun to begin with…like me). And lol at your avatar Kaneda.

This is the only real approach I can see to go about this for the VF series and a natural evolution of fighting games. Some felt that 4 series, while awesome, was a step back. The footsweep that Aoi took in the video suggested (to me anyways) that there still might be some ground hits ala VF4 but that’s the extent of it anyways until more is shown. All this combined with the off-axis movement has me interested how this will look and play.

It’s AM2(sans Suzuki) so I got faith it can be pulled off. I’m glad AM2 is still around to evolve the genre within it’s confines.

Check out the new failed evade animation (Jacky stumbles).

I can’t wait.

mmmm yummy, Me loves some VF.

YESSS!!!

What I hope more is that US arcades maybe get in a few of VE machines :frowning:

Since slowly we’re getting more info, time to make teh merge thread~

Get in the habit of making one main thread for confirmed new games guys. No point having one guy report a new trailer in his own thread, and another posting pics, and another with interviews…You’ll still get props for finding the info.

Man… Jacky is looking SICK! Pai is kind of weird but I can live. To bad the chances of this coming to american arcades is like… 0%

Apparently the cabs SEGA is using for it’s Lindbergh games are $15,000, so that might limit the their distribution here in the U.S.

They look nice tho’

Especially with the direction that aracdes are headed over here.

game already looks broken! :bluu:

Well there goes the chance of playing it in my usual arcade. Hopefully Sega goes with a multiplatform release instead of just dropping it on PS3, that way I might be able to actually play or own it.

And custom characters from different memory cards better be able to fight each other in VS. Unlike in Evo (it still pisses me off)

…seriously.

I wouldn’t worry about getting a console release. VF was one of the top selling fighters for the PS2, and there’s just too much money to be made on console. That being said, I’d be surprised if we see it in US before end 2007…

VF is the one series that I feel 100% safe that it will bring the goods.

I can’t wait. I love VF. I am sure that Sega will bring it to the next gen consoles. Its a guaranteed seller for the PS3…and it would be nice to have Online play if they brought it to the 360.

this is some good shit

who’s that jumpin’ up the sky, R-E-Y, Mysterio, here we go

What’s the release date? Virtua Fighter 5 looks damn hot

Damn. It looks funny enough in VF4 when both players failed evade at the same time, this shit is going to be hilarious.

I just hope they give Goh enough tools to compete in this one. I loved his character and fighting style (some of his throws were too good) but he couldn’t buy a win. A million and one sabakis and they all sucked. Come on Sega, make it happen.

…seriously?
