Om nom loop needs to die :: it’s so scrubbish imo, I wanna learn it as a counter against fortune scrubs who use it, but I can’t seem to figure it out the way they do it shrug

She works really well with parasoul for me.

Figures. I’ve been using Valentine and Parasoul for a while now - Parasoul’s overhead assist is ridiculous if one knows what they are doing.

Anybody know the match-up against Painwheel? I have no clue how to deal with it.

Keep in mind that she can’t un-fly, and she can’t block while flying. Use air Savage Bypass (236HK) to swat her out of the sky. Land that a few times and they should hesitate to fly so much, which makes the matchup a ton easier.

Like any other matchup, Napalm Pillar/Updo will make it a ton easier, because it’s really, REALLY annoying to get her off you once she is in. With that said, most Painwheel players I see just go fucking NUTS once they get in, so try to use** **Acquisitive Prescription (421KK), it usually catches people off guard, and you get a full combo as long as you don’t have a syringe loaded. Fully worth the 2 meters IMO.
Air checkmate isn’t bad either, but most good Painwheel players won’t let you get over them in the air to begin with.

Using AA assist is your best bet for just having a fast option for Painwheel. It will get you pretty good mileage against most of the Painwheels online.

Just note that a smarter Painwheel won’t be flying all the time. It’s smarter for Painwheel sometimes to just regular jump or super jump so she can attack while still blocking. Then go into fly just before landing instead when she’s already closer to you. She can also charge her j.HP which gives her two hits of armor allowing her to easily pass through attempts to use one hit attacks to stop her flight game.

Counter super can work but you better have a safe super to go into if it whiffs. Counter super is great especially if you have poison loaded just because of the fact that you can slip it in like a special move counter and not get the telegraphed screen freeze crap. It’s just if it whiffs you are sitting like a duck and will get your ass beat on without another meter to spend to keep it safe.

I use cerebella cerecopter assist. Does that work decently enough?

Actually the hit box for that assist is decently big where it shoudn’t be too bad for AA situations. Just don’t expect it to stuff out like really meaty stuff before it becomes active. Once it’s active the hit box is pretty good tho.

when you super cancel QCF+K’s starting frames to QCF+PP(Dio Brando Knives), you can go through Parasoul’s QCF+PP(the target Super)

So maybe you guys might find this interesting… I’ve been messing around, trying out Kakushi Caliper as an assist (c.MK) which hits low. It can create some pretty cool “hardtoblockables” with Parasoul and hits for awhile during blockstun so is decent for keeping pressure on. Thoughts?

I like Egret charge alot. Something about the timing of it works well. Not sure why…

Got any tips on how to fight Peacock/Double? I literally feel I got no real option against that crap as a Valentine/Cerebella player :(.

Either pick up Dubble for the ass slam or use bella’s armor charge to get in / scalpels on read & get in to mix it up with copter~

Swift Edit: dubble assists like to spam it, so try to bait it or crouch under it (trust me, it’s ez af :: juss dun leave gaps in your blockstrings for them to mash it out through)

So, what are people using to follow up fullscreen buttslam hits? I picked up <dash forward>,Savage Bypass xx Flatliner from the SS stream, but I wonder if there’s anything better.

Is it me, or Countervenom just doesn’t work? I try it on Training mode, I got the inputs right and all, then, when I test it on another character, with the poison loaded, it still counts as a normal hit and it doesn’t trigger.

Alright so I have a couple of questions for Valentine users.
I keep hearing people saying she is amazing but I have not really seen anything yet that makes me think so (and I use her lol).
What exactly makes her so good?

She has really good supers that cover a lot of situations (and she combos off of DHCs for free) and the different vials are awesome but all of that doesn’t seem to matter when I am using her because I can’t fucking open anyone up.

What are some of her better mixup options? I can’t seem to figure anything really good out and derping around with j.HPx2/throw/parasoul assist is not really cutting it.

I am pretty good with my other two characters (Painwheel/Parasoul) but they always end up carrying Val. In tournaments I usually just run PW/PS because I just don’t trust my Val anymore. I like the character alot so I don’t want to drop her but she is really not pulling her weight atm.

Dude, Val can kill off a fkn grab :: YUHATIN? Experiment & jump off the generic j.hp x2____Skullgirls itself, gives you so many options to win with ANYBODY :: It’s not hard to think of how to ‘open up’ opponents, namely: DOWNLOAD THEM.

Ugh. Online is making me a little salty right now, not gonna lie. Everyone I’m finding has over 100 ping and I’m basically losing more because I can’t finish my plate with Val anymore. Resets don’t help either thanks to stuff like Napalm Pillar(also, EVERYONE online plays Parasoul).

How’re you guys managing it?
