Just discovered something interesting with Valentine: You can raw tag with Double mid-screen by cancelling a st.HP into tag while your opponent is under the effects of the green syringe. Testing with other characters now.
Here’s the combo I use with Valentine (green syringe already loaded): st.LP, st.MP, st.HP, QCF+LP, st.MK, st.HP, tag into Double, QCB+KK after 2nd hit of tag.
Again, only from mid-screen. Haven’t tried against all characters, but confirmed working vs Cerebella.
edit: just tried it with all characters, here’s what I found:
Midscreen: everyone but Peacock
Corner: Peacock (must be close), Cerebella.
So Cerebella is the only one who can raw tag from both midscreen and the corner.
edit: Here’s a video, so you guys know I’m not blowing smoke:
eYO! nice input, don’t forget that Flatliner is invince on startup, it saves lives~
Understanding individual peacox is vital, imo :: you have your strictly-keepaways, your cheeky aerial spammers & then I don’t even know
Those aerial spammers can literally juss be dash-in’d on & fkn straight grabbed :: haha!
Haven’t messed with keepaways too much, but locking them down is important & never stand still or distance yourself :: most peas break up close. I find it crucial to analyze patterns & find holes :: a well-placed checkmate can get you in for some mixup game & once confirmed, usually means a dead CACK~
the only time peacock becomes annoying is with double assist or napalm pillar, in which the game becomes less, “get in and rape peacock” but “rape assists before i get shot”
when you do enough damage and/or punish fullscreen calls consistantly, peacock will stop calling them out which is when you can approach and then snap in the assists to kill the red life.
and soemthing awesome i found.
j.HK can beat out double assist.
I did it earlier on ranked. If this can be done reliably, then val has a way to stop double assist spammers while staying off the ground.
The most reliably thing that can be done against Double assist or any really is to have an active projectile out. Cross can be done on reaction but it’ll take some good amount of time to learn to time it right each time.
question; I just had a ft20 with a buddy who uses Filia and I pull off common bnbs to get my damage then I messed up a combo which was
cr.LP cr.LK cr.HP Super Jump sj.HP air dash sj.MP(full) sj.MK (1-hit) land. In this string you land on the other side of the character right before you land and you can start offense again(using st.LK). Is this viable at all or just a small trick to pull off online?
so i’ve been using
cr.:lk:, cr.:mk:, cr.:hp:, j.:lp:, j.:mp:, j.:hp:, adf, j.:mp:, j.:hk:, land, st.:lp:, st.:mp:, cr.:hp:, j.:lk:, j.:mk:, j.:hp:, qcf.:hk:, qcf. :mk::hk:
has anyone found a better bnb yet?
i’m having a bit of trouble with this combo
after i land the qcf.:mk: the combo end before i get to otg cr.:lk:, cr.:mp:, cr.:hp:
what am i doing wrong?
