Yeah, it’s easier on cerebella but it is possible on everyone. I first did it on peacock and I know I’ve done my green syringe combo on everyone else as well. And the notations I put are different from my video but I realized the combo in the video could be teched out of right before the last qcf.HK so I had to change it to qcf.MK. It only does like 50-100 less damage though if I remember right.

And I’ll try out that idea once I play next. I’ve been busy all day with school and probably won’t be able to play again until Tuesday.

No, it’s not an opinion. Damage doesn’t make up for the fact that you will eventually leave yourself open on strings. Most of her normals aren’t safe.

Just thought I’d say, I have no intention of using anything but Solo Valentine. As soon as the ninja nurse was announced, I was sold. Still am.

Now, I think it’s pretty much guaranteed that solo will fade into obscurity as the months and years pass, mainly because there isn’t a little trick that is specific to solo characters. Had they a little something that only they could do, then I think they might stand a chance. But they don’t. Ah well.

So why will I stubbornly refuse to play a team? Because I hate teams. Solo just fits me better. I feel more respect for going one on one with another solo and I feel more satisfaction when I defeat a team.

Plus, for as long as I’ve been playing, I’ve never been able to get into the mindset of using assists.

Had this game no given me the option of solo, I would have regrettably had to pass on it. I can’t even accept KOF’s format. I only bought Marvel vanilla because of the hope Spidey might be fun to play.

Solo until it becomes unenjoyable to play.

I’ve been running solo Valentine as well, but only because she is the only character I know how to play haha.

Was able to get 93 hits solo, 1 bar, 8151 damage, so far, not sure whether that is decent or not.

That depends. Was this with a 1.00 damage ratio multiplier?

HP & c.HP both do the most dmg~

Do the 2nd mp & throw in a mk? That’ll add SOMETHING.

& Like I Said: I got 8288dmg/syringless in 1 shot, it’s not hard to boast about high-dmg combos that start with j.hpx2 -_

Could someone compile the combos up together and post up the following;
Best midscreen BnBs without assists and vials and no more than 1 meter
Best midscreen BnBs without assist but using a green vial and no more than 1 meter
Best midscreen BnBs without assist but using a purple vial and no more than 1 meter
Best corner BnBs using the above settings
We have some really good stuff up, but it’s pretty hard to keep up with everything since every few posts someone updates their combo or posts a new one.

I’m running the exact same team as you now haha. Got destroyed by Napalm Pillar assist offline enough to pick up Parasoul on that. What’s the reason to use s.MP assist though? I’ve just been using Mortuary Drop for the tricky setups you get off it into Painwheel combos.

This plz. I’ve been reading this thread all weekend and founding a lot of good stuff by Fishy and the other guys helping but it’s gonna be kinda hard to keep up from now on imo. Also helps the people who are starting to playing her and is trying to found some solids bnbs here and they are all around the pages (I’ve been pointing this thread to a couple of friends in my PSN list after seeing dem corner combos and shit lol)

Here is an updated syringe-less corner combo for Valentine (based on Fishy’s earlier combo):

c.lk c.mk(1) c.hp j.hp dash j.hp qcf + k c.mk(1) c.hp j.mk(1) j.hp dash j.mp(1) j.hp land j.lp j.mp(1) j.hp mp(all) mp(all) mk(all) c.hp j.lk j.mp(all) j.hp lp lp lp mp(all) mp(all) mk(all) hk hk hk qcf + hk qcf + 3k

Works on everyone. For the first qcf + k, you generally need use weaker kicks for heavier opponents and harder kicks for lighter ones (ie. hk for Peacock and lk for Double). The “j.lp j.mp(1) j.hp” works on everyone, but it’s much harder to do on Double so you might want to skip it on her.

Not to be a dick about this but do you guys just have a natural hard on for corner combos? Doing damage in the corner is always the easy part in a fighting game. The combos that happen midscreen, on the other hand, are the ones that need some polish.

I was wondering when someone would bring this up.

If this game turns out to be anything like MB, Tekken, BB or GG, it’ll be all about figuring out the most damaging corner combos and then finding the best ways to carry the opponent to the corner.

That’s great guy but MB, Tekken, GG, MvC2 and to an extent in MvC3 a lot of time is spent away from the corners and avoiding the corners. So what we do need right now is concentrating on carries or on damage away from the corner. I post the one combo that is practical and guaranteed on everybody and…the rest of the thread is on vial/corner combos. Really dudes? I’m not gonna lie, chances are really low that I discover an insanely good midscreen combo because execution and combo creativity are not my forte. But c’mon .

Edit: Just because it is kinda silly and deals ok damage. Ground backdash air Checkmate Incision land Checkmate incision works on everybody when done from midscreen. Damage varies with Cerebella and Double taken the least number of hits from the backdash super portion of it. Gimmicks Ahoy!
