We will have a pool in '08 based on something, I’ll offer the SF movie comic up then. It’s still early though. I’d like to wait and see what Marvel, DC or perhaps even an indy publisher are up to down the line in '08 so we can all agree on something good.

I’ve been getting them in the mail for awhile now. They just come when they come.
I haven’t bought a single issue of anything for at least 3 years now.
I got the subscription because the previous Ultimates was worth it. ( also X-Statix when it was great, I got like that entire run via subscription, for awhile they messed something up and I Was getting two issues a month, I think I was getting two ultimates a month for a little bit too, lol subscriptions )
The "twists’ in the new issue are GREAT, and the backstory is just FANTASTIC!

The writing on issue 3 at the very least wasn’t as bad as the last two issues… Oh the great Captain America in issue 2, leaving Spider-Man on the ground knocked out in the snow so anyone can take his mask, how far you have fallen… Not crazy about where the story is going but oh well. There was a lot of annoying Bendis team style communication that I’m not too crazy about - “He did that?” “Yes he did.” “Really?” “Yes really.” “Whoa. So he did that?” - but Bendis still does it better IMHO… I just didn’t think too much about it and looked at the pretty pictures. A big LOL at Scarlet Witch creating a background for X-Men Children of the Atom.
Loved Frank Cho’s Scarlet Witch cover, wound up getting both covers. Seriously though, they had Cho on board and they didn’t get him to draw a dinosaur??? Eh I guess he’s done that before, but he’s drawn the hot girl a lot more… just saying…

It was a lot better written. At least more wordy than the last two.
They seemed to have found a nice happy medium for the printer too. It’s not too light, not too dark.
So I read #3, mind you I don’t follow Ultimate X-Men, and seeing as no one used a spoiler tag for it-
So Logan screwed Magneto’s wife, Magneto whoops his ass, years later he’s all ‘forget and forgive’ with him and wants him to kill Quicksilver, but he fails.
Warp back to current timeline; Stark Industries created the bullet that killed Wanda and now Ultron’s making his move.
Ah well the only thing that made me go :wtf: in this issue was Logan and Wanda’s mom ummm…yeah ya know.

Yes it is. I looked thru mu ultimate team up HC and no mention of them. Maybe in an ultimate X-men, i quit reading it after the magnetic north story arc.
anyone else getting a weird avangers dissasembled feeling after reading this issue?
Also, It looks like the rumors of black panther being nighthawk from supreme power might prove to me right. If panther is Cap and not some one else Then i quit this book for good.
Lays c’mon now, this story is HORRIBLE.
I can’t wait until next issue when Magneto is revealed to be Captain Americas dad and at the end the Hulk shows up.
