This is kinda why I say SOME people off the top need to be excluded. Get new faces in the top is what I’d personally like to see. I just feel that the people “near” the “top” don’t “need” as much “coaching” than the “others” outside “of” top “8” or so. “bunny ears”
Us three would make top 8 in this tourney pretty free but i believe that it’s more for people who are struggling with the game in general. We can get better through playing matches and other ways, i just personally dont think it’d be interesting if we entered.
I guess I’m interested in this though I’d be a waste of space for someone more deserving.
Top 8 from the yet-to-be-scheduled qualifier tournament will be our draft picks for the teams.

don’t think so… you may be good, but alot of those players are not as free as you think…
I think anyone should enter, but honestly if any of those three were in the top 8 to be drafted, I think they would be heavy favorites to win the whole thing. Not even trying to BS anyone, but just a top player looking at the landscape. I also know for a fact Jason doesn’t care too much about getting better, so he’s trying to defer his spot to someone who this can really benefit.
I think Corey and DBC should be able to enter…but one of them will be my first pick hahaaaaaaa!!

Drafting ppl outside “the top” would make it more unpredictable and i think would benefit those players more.
no basically what i think he meant was him dbc and corey in top 3, cause if he didn’t why would someone who placed better then him get to play… i mean this whole idea has promise besides the ryry being a coach thing, if you ask me he should just be replaced with nick, who doesn’t get much credit but understands the concept of fighting games and getting better more then just about anyone in the community, and he really doesn’t get nearly enough credit, he’s better then most of us, would most likely place high, and has one thing different then all of us, he barely plays because unlike all of us, he can’t practice shit online…
but as far as your comment about being room for me, all the days that i have heard thrown out there aren’t good for me, so it doesn’t matter anyways… but yes i know, if there was no ryry, foomy, k1, or joe s, i would make top 8 bet on it… so it wouldn’t matter…
also, there has to be a way to be democratic about this too you know, i am sure there is some sort of site or flash app that can put all the sova players in, everyone picks 8, every player gets 1 point for each vote, and then the top 8 with the most votes are out, there is so many better ways to do this then having an objective 3rd party…

The poll thing sounds good. You can’t really argue with numbers. You should put everyone from that top 8 list you have on the poll + top 8 from the first ranking battle 32 player cap thing that way its part opinion part tourney results. Exclude the coaches since they are obvious votes.
If you want an exact order for rankings take whatever 8 get chosen then put them in a pools tourney with the coaches but it shouldn’t matter… and maybe top 6 > top 8 since 4 coaches + 6 others makes a normal 10 rank system.
or you just tell everyone, you have until july 1st to say if you want to take part in this or not, if you do you have to post up (or randomcat can make a little thingamijig) and then you take all those people, make the damn poll, everyone has one vote (just lock the ip address so everyone can only vote once per ip, i know there is ways around this but alot of sova is too stupid) then the vote say you pick 8 players to pick as top 8, or 6 or whatever… then the most votes, are out right?
If we do that then good players in the community that are not interested in TUSF will not be counted and players interested will be excluded for being the best on the list. Besides, you shouldn’t wait to see them sign up and THEN decide they can’t do it.
And really I say if you believe you can use the help then you should be able to go for it (TUSF) and stay out of the next season or 2 depending on how successful this is.
