One of my favorite things to do in training mode is start every combo with super jump, tridash down-forward j.H, fly, j.L, j.S, cr.H. Thats a triple overhead that combos on any one of the hits. I’m trying to figure out a way to use it in a match, but people still get hit by j.L into cr.L or just j.L over and over so there isn’t much of a reason to do it.
I looked at the front page of this thread for combos and I’ve seen other user’s posts, but all the options are overwhelming! I need help on where to begin. I’ve done all of Magneto’s missions a couple of times now. Where do I go now?
If it helps, my anticipated team: Wesker (β), Dr. Doom (β), Magneto (α)
Since your magneto is on position of anchor, then I suggest you learn his basic loops which the game does not show you in the mission modes.

Hope you find what you need bro!
Thanks for posting the videos.
Vid 1: I like the damage output, but I was hoping for a solo combo.
Vid 2: That was a nice solo combo, but the damage seemed low for the work involved. Is this combo really consistent? How often do you drop it? I like that it carries the opponent into the corner.
Vid 3: The first combo in this vid looked like the one from Vid 2, so not much new. As for the other combos, I liked that they used assists, but again not quite what I’m looking for yet.
Vid 4: I liked how this vid showed the damage potential of magneto with 3 levels and what he was capable of in x-factor.
Overall, it seems that all of the combos were in someway similar to Vid 2. Excuse my noobiness, but I have to ask what makes magneto worth playing? It seems like it takes quite a bit of execution to do combos that deal less than 600k for 1 bar. Couple this with his low health, and you really have me scratching my head. Does he have solo combos that you can do from around mid-screen, take them to the corner, use 1 meter, and do upwards of 730k? Does he have a really easy time opening people up and a lot of safe moves? If so, then I could see the reason for the execution and the low health. Anyways, thanks again to bloodabeast for putting forth the effort to post those vids and help me out, btw I would say Vid 2 is the most helpful since it has a tutorial.
The first combo does 560k without meter and before an assist call. Most of his combos will corner carry you and all of them can convert into a Hyper Grav loop which will lead into 800k+ with Magnetic Tempest ender. His tridash mixup is the second strongest in the game next to Storm’s but he actually has the damage output to make him worth playing. He’s also one of the few characters that can control space both horizontally and diagonally from the air.
@Jesse3: Here’s a solo corner combo that aren’t hard to do;

I also have more setups for the fly loop in mind including some rreeaaaly ghetto lookin shit lol
@Din0, what is his tridash mixup?
@bloodabeast, those were pretty nice, I’ve been doing some variations on his combo from mission 9, and I’ve been able to pull off decent damage. The main problem I have is consistency. The trouble comes from the bold part:
Crouching H, S, Air H, Air Dash (down), Air H, Standing H, S, Air H, Air Dash (down), **Air H, H, **Hyper Grav L, Magnetic Tempest
His tridash is just normal jump tridash L, which can hit low or high depending on how high you start the tri-dash after the jump. Also he has super jump S which is an overhead or H which isn’t .
What buttons are you using to dash with? That combo doesn’t work at that stage if you’re using L+M+H due to input delay, so use L+M instead.
wha?
Oops, I was typing it in class. H is overhead, I’m retarded.
I’m trying to do your
I’m trying to do the grav loop in the swag video, but…I can’t get that pop in my hyper grav loop so they always end up falling out. If I can do it in xf1-3, is my timing just off? I’ve tried canceling the H after the AD at every time before standing H into grav, so I’m not sure what the issue is…any ideas?
The word you’re defining is used within the definition itself…which naturally led to confusion.
Also, yes I’m using L+M+H, and the combo will work with that setup. The main issue I’m having is consistency. However I’ll try L+M to see if it is more consistent. I don’t know how much it will help though, as the timing seems really strict.
Guys, help. I have been through the thread and am confused. I want to put Magneto on my team. What is the easiest, full to mid-screen non-magnetic blast BNB combo that I can do? My execution isn’t the greatest.
c. LMHS j.m, j.h addf j.h …now what? I need this to be stupid easy. Apologies for being a Magneto nub.
This is his easiest BnB IMO. You probably won’t get all the reps at first but getting two is pretty piss easy.
LOL here’s a ft5 I played the other night. It was really sloppy play, probably a mixture of the nerves and beers I’ve been drinking.
NSFW language. I’m player1 side.
part 1 - stick I was playing with didn’t have a working fierce button lol. took me way too long to realize.

As always any criticism is welcomed. I know I need to work on getting my combos down 100%, any tips on movement?
At 1:09:15 ish, Fanatiq does a very nice NiniHeart-ROM to cross up fly loop conversion that I thought was very nifty.
Does anyone else have trouble connecting Air L after going into flight? I can’t seem to connect it with any consistency.
Yeah, that took me a while to figure out. I actually gave up initially and learned the magnetic blast combos instead. But it always bugged me that I didn’t have the fly loop option in my arsenal, especially since I when I see everyone else is able to do it effortlessly. I tried different timing, tried lining up the body perfectly, tried different heights for the initial H after launch. Eventually, I’d take a break from practicing and try other combos. But I’d always revisit the unfly combo randomly. Ur muscles figure shit out even when ur brain can’t compute it. So one time I tried it, and it felt natural. It just happened. And I knew I had it.
So my advice would be, don’t over think it. Use the same natural timing and angle you would use for one of his other combos. Do the H, adf, M, fly, light with consistent, even rhythmic timing. You’ll want to rush qcb S for fly mode, but after the million’th time you fuck it up and go into TAC, you’ll realize you need to concentrate on performing the full motion. You’ll prolly be too slow for the follow up Light, but ur training ur muscles through repetition to become familiar with this series of movements. Just keep doing it correctly. Normal height, normal speed and tempo. You’ll fail for a while. But ur muscles will become efficient at reproducing this combo, and then one time without thinking, you’ll connect.
Worst case scenario, practice it for a while, break, practice, break, repeat… eventually it happens. Took me about two days of heavy practice. I don’t think it’s that difficult for most people, but fuck them.
Yo I gotta give big props to CJ. Just watched him on Curleh Mustache stream and he really upgraded his Magneto.
