yeah my bad but i havenāt been able to go to tournaments and havenāt been able to upload all my hot reset shit yet.
i have a new working stick now (mvc2 te) so iāll try to get to work on some more shit but i feel so bad for not reppin the magnus threads in reality ><
Nice stick how much did you get it for and now that you have a stick does that mean youāll be uploading stuff soon?
Also in the mean time I have a pretty big question.
Mainly how to play anchor magneto. Incoming mixups and xfc lv.3/lv.2 combos outside the corner, strategy etc.
I know itās a big question but peeps overlooked it in the QnA thread.
#1 Got the stick for free and yes I should be uploading some things soon.
#2 Anchor magnus; play him more like a nut if you have xfactor 3. concerning mix ups you donāt really need them in this position if youāre not in the corner. like if you got somebody mid screen or corner, just think of marvel 2 and youāll get a general idea of how to play anchor magnus.
My first marvel game was Ultimate
When I see Marvel 2 Magnus it looks sexy but I donāt get whats going on I just see cr.h launcher sj. hhhhh cr.h and it does like 50%. Looks cool though.
I got the same feels man. Guy worked way harder than that guy Cloud. Busted his ass in training mode learning matchups, played and trained with one of the best players in Marvel only to get bopped by an online warrior lol.
They also said that he would go to the runback here and there but would do horrible. If I was that cloud guy, I would be hitting the slots in Vegas.
@TimTim, XF2-3, midscreen Rom becomes really easy almost undroppable. If you dont feel comfortable with that then you could always just do flight, make sure it corner carries then HG loops with S.
Corner, you could do the st.H xx HG under XF3. Under XF2 you can do cr.M, st.H xx HG.
So⦠I think I need to find a more oppressive magneto teamā¦
I guess Jam Session and Derpgil itāll beā¦
What other teams would you say are the most Oppressive Magneto teams (I really donāt want to join the Zero Army but damn that character makes things so much easier than fighting as honestly as Magneto generally does)
I wouldnāt try to discredit Cloud805, heās been a great player since Vanilla and one of the premier Zero/Dantes since the gameās inception.
Besides, Champ doesnāt play against any good Zeros or Dantes in Norcal so heās probably not too good in those matchups anyways since Schmidt quit Zero and thereās only like 2-3 good Dantes in the world.
You shouldnāt quit because Champ lost, if youāre going to quit you should quit because this game is ass. Iāve basically exhausted most of my love for the game because Iām tired of getting Dark Vergilāed.
The most oppressive Magneto point team is Magneto/Morrigan/Doom but it takes months to make a fresh new Morrigan tournament caliber; sheās probably the hardest character in the game.
I think his point, which a lot of people arenāt giving the credit it deserves, is that Zero is the type of character that practically negates practice, learning the game, and being an all around better player because of how strong he is. He allows a player of substantially lower skill to compete with better players because of how powerful he is.
I do agree with some of those statements but Iāve learned most of the top tiers in this game and Zero really isnāt the character Iād immediately go to if I want an easy win with no practice, whereas I can play Vergil anchor and lose both my first 2 characters and still feel like Iām winning the game once Iām glowing red with DT because itās basically the strongest thing in the game and doesnāt require me to do shit.
Vergil is a heck of a lot easier than zero, but zero is still better than him. EVEN if you put him in the end glowing red, heās still better than vergil (lol @ meterless Lightning Loop) . Only reason you donāt see him there is because heās the best point in the game.
Iām not saying you donāt need to work to learn the character to be successful with himāyou do. And I agree that Vergil is much easier than him. But itās not so much about comparing him to another broken character like Vergil. Itās that, in a lot of ways, to win with Zero consistently you only have to learn how to play Zero (even if thatās not easy). Whereas to win with the sort of characters that Champ uses, and most of the other characters in the game, you have to learn things like: what do I need to do to punish certain moves by other characters, when are those moves safe and when are they not, how do I punish that particular assist, what are my opponents movement options, how do I get out of a particular mix up situation, etc. Whereas with Zero he has so many unbelievable options that he can essentially impose his will on the opponent at his leisure. You donāt have to worry about a lot of tools that other characters have because he straight destroys almost all of them and he can make the opponent block (all while he is very safe) and completely negate their offense. For example, how many characters donāt have to worry about Wolverineās divekick AT ALL. Think about how that kind of thing lessens the amount of thought or preparation you have to do to win in comparison to what you have to take into account with Magneto in that match up. Itās why someone who plays mostly online can go toe to toe with someone like Champ just by using Zero. Itās also why a lot of Zero players are only good with Zero and not their other characters. The rest of their team is going to require a level of match up knowledge, game mechanic knowledge, and experience that Zero doesnāt.
Just switched from pad to fight stickāI can finally plink dashā¦But now I canāt do anything else that I used to be able to do. Any advice would be much appreciated.
