I want Dante with weasle shot, but it has no durability, and only 3/4 range. Next is Magneto, but I still need to see if confirms are practicle off it outside of training, and test its durability. I know that Ironman/beam has neither of these issues, and provides lockdown to boot. Howver unibeam comes out lightyears after disruptor.
I guess only playing a bunch with each will tell, unless u guys are already familiar with this.
Oh, another positvie about Disruptor is that if a webthrow connects right after it, then the hits are minimized (obviously in general unibeam racks up the hitstun/scaling).
Pretty sure people consider Vajra to be a “hard counter” to Morrigan’s nonsense if that isn’t enough to be considered help for Spidey than I don’t know what would be haha.
I haven’t hit the lab on it yet but I’m sure with some work Spidey can get some OTG web zips off of Vajra catches too, as long as he isn’t TOO far.
Vajra is a great assist for Spidey. You can pick up off the hard knockdown, you just need to be prepared for it due to how long it takes for Spidey to OTG. Its also really good for general pressure and mixups cus if you time vajra to hit as Spidey hits a jump-in you can make very hard to see cross ups. (especialy if Spidey and Strider are in the same colours). Vajra is also really good for covering corner Ultimate Web throw resets, so if they do manage to escape the reset they then have to deal with vajra, making it safe. You can also use vajra to extend combos if need be, simply call strider on the hit before a launcher, then tiger knee a M web throw (fairly slowly), and Strider will knock the opponent back down into the web throw.
Viper and Strider were fighting over meter, so I had to get rid of Strider for Akuma. However, if I really like the Frank/Dorm shell on my Jill team, I may just have Jill or Spidey/Frank/Dorm be my M.O.
yeah that was another thing Spider is always a good buddy for meter hungry team members because he doesn’t really need meter to get good damage, was wondering what you were going to do with Viper and Strider following after.

Hey man, hows it going… Well the guys that have been helping me out hear pretty much unanomously advised to have a good, full screen assist, and Im pretty sure the meant beams. Not sure if projectiles work good enuf for spidey in general, but Ive been testing durabilities andheres what i found:
Multi hit beams (Unibeam, Plasmabeam, …) evaporate everything on screen (including all three Sent drones).
Single hit beam (Disruptor) looses to the above, and only takes 1 or 2 projectiles away from multi shot assists (Task arrows), inc drones.
Bullets (Weasle shot, Machine Gun) pass thru beams. Whichever assist gets hit first “looses”. Bullets loose to drones horribly.
Anti air “beams” (Jam Sess, Repulsor) can beat out a bunch of beams and projectiles. Need to test more, but Repulsor blast can eat all hidden missiles, if timmed right, and jam session looses horribly to drones, surprisingly.
Just thought Id share. Im either going with Spidey/Mag(a)/Doom(miss) or Spidey/Dant(y)/Doom(miss). Ironman/Unibeam for certain matchups, like against Sent drones. Down the road ill pop Sent in the mix, with Doom/Missiles (drones are great, but slow).
So…I am done with Vergil on my team. Too cheap. I like to feel like I deserve a win or that I have earned it. Too often I feel like I herp derped and won with him against a player that was much stronger than me. So I am switching to my original choice and running Spidey/Doom/
I know This team is not as good as Vergil. But I have more fun with this team. So I am going to give Rocket Raccoon some real lab time and see what becomes of it.
Can Peter be on the same team with Storm and Dorm at the same time? Anchor Dorm is deadly if the opponent isnt in XF, but ass if they are. And Anchor Storm sounds iffy to me.
After watching Yipes’ Dante, he heavily relies on Disruptor assist. Hidden missiles is a far cry from a beam. Dante cant confirm in the air like Mag either.
