Yeah, everytime I see Doom left agaist a zoning team, he seems disadvantaged, and Ive seen him loose xfactor to run/keepaway often.

I dont mean switching main teams, I mean keeping a pocket team for certain matchups. Im maining Spidey for at least a year,. which is how long I stuck with my first team, Dant/Iron/Strider (almost).

It’s true that it’s important but you also would like to make the most out of Spidey on point. Spidey/Doom/Ammy is in no way a weak team but I think it’s a bit tough to pick between plasma and missiles on that team though.

Try Spidey/Doom/IM with missiles and unibeam. I use that for casuals and it’s fun spamming full screen butter gun + unibeam to TOD.

Spidey/Doom(beam)/X, here are some of X picks you might want to consider - Ammy, Dante, Sentinel, Strider, Strange(with missiles), Skrull.

Im diggin Disruptor assist. Ill rock that for now. Also thinking Strange in slot 2 with Bolts. Then ya get a beam with combo extensions, all in one package.

The more I play with it, the more I enjoy Rocket Raccoon on anchor. I have seen some decent synergy for Doom/Raccoon from Skillzthatkillz. I have also seen that Spidey and log are pretty good together as well. Idk I just keep coming back to the Raccoon. lol

He’s good. Hope he had around 800k+ HP though. RR and Vergil should seriously swap HPs.

Wait, Ammy and Skrull as anchors? Never considered the possibility, but I do like both characters. Now that I think about it, I’ve seen Skrull players punish Morrigan with Meteor Smash, but I don’t think they placed him last.

Kinda what as mentioned earlier about what happens when spidey dies is how the team holds up when the anchor is snapped in and or killed. Im not sure how well Spidey/Mag would hold out without doom. Im sure Mag could do some damage, build meter, then let spidey rip in lvl 3 xf.

Im gunna try those teams Raoh suggested too, cus I want a resilient team that can handle any character dying, esp point and anchor, and dont want to commit too early. Once I do commit, its hard core preping for a small tourney this spring (or late winter).

In match play, with Strider/vajra, is it easy to get web-zip otg pickups off a vajra hard knockdown ?

Actually, Skrull has some tools to get over Morrigan’s bullet hell. Elastic slam has a disjointed hitbox so you can grab Morrigan off the air when she does her fly unfly. Meteor smash xx inferno also punishes bad assist calls either if you decide to hit or have to whiff smash and it also eats up projectiles. XF3 Skrull is crazy especially if you and your opponent don’t respect each other.:smiley:

I think it is unless they’re full screen. I think it’s better to run that team with plasma beam since both the beam and vajra can extend combos. It’s not gonna be good if Strider gets snapped in with missile assist.

I have a close friend that I play Marvel with and there’s definitely no respect between us… :rofl:
Might as well give Skrull a try - Spidey / Doom / Skrull seems interesting!

With beam assist, yeah. You can get easy web throw to corner combos with the wall bounce if you use iNerd’s bnb or simple :h: swing combos when you’re near the corner.

What do ya think of Spi/Mag/Doom with Disruptor and Missiles ?

Yeah Raoh, Iron Man Beam assist is nice.

Plus with Tony in slot 2, and Spidey being able to carry to corner with low enough hits to get a TAC, its a perfect recipe for Ironmans infinty, which isnt too difficult in the corner. Midscreen is awhole diff story.

Im down to Ironman and Magnus (but am having a hard time dropping Dante, spent soo much time with him, ugh).

Disruptor has no lock down and cann be a bit tricky to confirm off of. It also doesnt allow for webzip otg extensions, unless hitstun hasnt set it yet (in which case spidey could otg combo alone anyway).

However, after watching some footage it looks like Mag/Doom play well together. Missiles can lock down while Mag puts on the hi/lows, and TACing to Doom after a beefey Mag combo (which positions in the corner) leaves a lot of options and opportunities, including Dooms infinite or other hi damage, meter building corner combos.

Decisions decisions.

Yoo, Sent drones work soo good with spidey. So many combo/ reset/mixup opportunities with web throw, call drones, webzip otg!

My limited experimentation with drones + misseles seemed very promising. DHCing into Sents sphere hyper is just under 1mill following a bnb too.

I like Spidey with drones, I just suck at using Sent. His movement, though clunky, is still pretty good in the right hands which are not mine. :smiley:

Oh man I feel so dumb for asking if Mag is good with Doom/missiles.

Thats Champs main team and Ive watched so many of his games.

I didnt care for Doom or Mag at the time so I guess I wasnt paying attention enough to remember.

I was aware that Mag/Sent is super good, which i might run with spidey on point, bc Ive seen that duo a bagillion times and its soo effective.

Yeah, Sent is defly a whackbot, but Fanatic, Knives, Rayray, Infrit ( and a few others) really make him look scary
His combos seem kinda easy, but I think he needs xfactor to be evasive.

Yeah I have messed around with Spidey/Iron Man/ Sentinel. I like it because Iron Man backed by drones is pretty solid.
