Does WebSwing get invincibility as a CC?

You see multiple team combinations with these characters because they require dramatically less from the teams they are one. All of them only really need an assist that grants any type of horizontal presence and they can take care of the mixups, damage, etc themselves. Less tools required means you have more room for flexibility in terms of who you mix and match.
You should be running Spidey/Hawkeye/Doom. Just sayin…
Yeah I know, Doom is a better backup for Hawkeye most definitely. He’s just not fun to me, haha. I think he has less instant comeback ability across the cast, and he doesn’t allow me to kill if I land a happy birthday with Porker. Have definitely thought of it for Missiles combobreaking alone, though.
He doesn’t have a lot of juice in him as a point character but missiles outweighs that …they’re way too hidden. That said, if I have to chase, I like my chances better with X-23 than Doom against the majority of the cast. If I’m down to one or the other and need a comeback, neither will get it done consistently anyway. Weirdly, they both offer similar things in terms of combos as far as extension and killing intent resource-using combos except for the raw tags.
Once people stop getting hit by FOO DAI it’ll be much harder for him…if that day ever comes :lol.
hawkeye / x23 just sounds gross [in the bad way] though. nothing really going on there. I suppose you could get x23 in and play her with arrows.
Yep, it’s all in management. Hawkeye does A-OK by himself until I can get X-23 in and use Factor #2 or #3 if necessary. Their hypers connect to each other anywhere essentially (of course Gimlet to punish an SJ airborne opponent doesn’t work to a WXP). A Gimlet to a Weapon X Prime XF will give me the ability to infinite and likely build enough meter to dirt nap the incoming character. Having a super fast laser backed up by the games most invincible DHC iirc in WXP is also a great option to have, too.
That said, I usually approach it by matchup and gauge from there. X-23 with arrows is always an option that I have as well, not that it’s SUPER AWESOME AMAZING too. Just have to make good decisions.
Also, Hawkeye’s a really good standalone character. His hypers cover most mistakes well, and there’s XF for the rest. Played properly, I think my team loses to good Morridoom (have a solid amount of practice against this, it’s basically if she manages to get away. Note that this is not Morrigan solo). and the best Logans with a pinning assist (re: Tatsu, Jam, or Shopping cart) when it manages to pin me. Otherwise, I feel like I shouldn’t lose. Matchups matchups matchups.
I was thinking of playing Hawkeye but I decided on Taskmaster instead so I’ll be learning him and Dante so I can run Spidey Taskmaster Dante together

spidey/doom/ammy is cool. The application of coldstar is pretty obvious, fly around, get them pinned down, do a zips into 0, 1, 2 ,3, 4 overheads. Doom Ammy is a thing.
Yo xero that is my team! Except that I run Dante 2nd and Taskmaster 3rd. Have you tried the team out at all? Is it better to run dante anchor?
Both are solid anchors but since jam session is too good and Dante’s DHC sucks after MS, I’d personally put him on anchor spot.
Yea I see. I usually DHC to Devil Trigger then jumping S and continue from there. Haven’t really unlocked the true potential of this team, but I have a lot of faith in it.
I haven’t tried it out yet. I need to actually learn both Taskmaster and Dante but yeah what Raoh said is how I think as well. I can do vertical arrows after MS or angled arrows after CA and both will connect whereas with Dante I could possibly extend combos by using Devil Trigger but I rather get the damage at this particular moment. Once I use the team I’ll have a better understanding of how it works though. Right now though I was toying around with Spidey/Doom/Ammy for someone on Xbox and I’m kinda liking Ammy now as well plus Doom’s beam can still help me with certain combos and is solid for horizontal coverage while Ammy locks down like Phantasy said in the corner.
I used to run Taskmaster in Vanilla for a stint (to get ready to confirm off Hawkeye’s assumed arrows assist, believe it or not). He’s got the wrinkle of being more solid but less overt wins in matchups (and less overt losses of course). Dude’s so solid. Dat DHC is all about damage too. He’s another one of those guys that’s what you make of him.
And Dante is a monster anchor in the right hands. He’s such a silly character, even with the nerfs.
On paper it just seems like one of those teams I would get away with so much shit on but I have to really put in time with Dante to understand how his combos work what’s good what’s not etc.
I just tested out a few things with what they provided to Spidey and I’m fairly impressed. Not too much hit stun on arrows so I can do some extended combos and save my spider sting for later allowing me slightly more room to play with. So starting off I’m liking what they do for Spidey but now I’m off to actually start practicing them proper like. I know if I’m to play Dante I need to learn bold cancels
I think dante is one of spidey’s best partners, he’s just hard
and you kinda need a very damaging character to compensate for the scaling jam session does. doom, vergil are the dudes i’d recommend.
I actually removed Frank from my team and replaced him with Dante sometime last week. I’m really digging the Spider-Man/Dante/Doom combination. If Spider-Man dies without Frank leveling up, I don’t have to rely on a straightforward character getting a lucky hit to do semi-decent damage. Instead, I get a character that can actually mix you up.
