I’m not quite sure tbh. I’ve had a growing interest in strange because of some broken ass synergy I found between him and iron man, so I may look into that while my Fall of Cybertron multiplayer demo is downloading after I get off work. (Everyone should get that game!!!)
I got War for Cybertron and that game was god damn amazing. Unfortunately, some bullshit happened and the game always froze right at the main menu screen every time but only if I was signed in to my gamertag. Considering that my favorite part of that game was the multiplayer, I pretty much couldnt play that game anymore. I wish I could get the demo for Fall of Cybertron but my hard drive is full.
i hope you share some of those strange iron man tech with me sometime soon @FallofCybertron that game is already paid in full im just waiting for it to come out sir, the last one was so hyped. i hope you dont fly around in a jet like a scrub lol
Oh, I will, Hush. ;O We need to get some games in tonight!
Also, I’m not sure if it’s because it’s the demo, but it feels like they changed quite a bit in FoC. They took out killstreaks, and gave everyone a dash. Holding down the dash button grants you a sprint as well. They also took out the original power ups and made something similar to Halo 3’s equipment. You have to hold the action button down to pick it up and then press left on the D-Pad to activate/deploy it. There’s a damage buff for anyone that stands inside this aura where you deploy it and a broken-ass health re-generator that continually heals you when you activate it. It seems a little more balanced though.
Do they walk more normally now? I remember last game they slid around all the time and it looked retarded. How are the beat downs in that game? Do they still look like the transformers is wildly flailing his limbs while sliding around?
I run Spidey, Deadpool, Dr. Strange. Major issue is the health pool, no real tank in the group. Spidey on annoyance and probing, semi- rushdown, Deadpool on annoyance and keep away and Strange for meter usage and mix up teleport tricks. I enjoy the challenge of making the health last, specially on heavy hitting teams (looking at you Haggar,Hulk,Sent teams)
The issue I see with the bolt assist is how wonky it is… Easy to duck under or miss completely on smaller characters. Can it be used? Sure can, but I prefer the eye assist as a defensive assist, and also as a cross over, damage extender, or chip… Don’t let the good Doc get hit though, he is made of paper if hit as an assist
Spidey and Strange work well together, Strange’s spell of Vishanti Hyper mixes and matches with ANY THC, so it’s one of the easier THC’s to Ultimate Spider, conversely, Spidey can get off an US on Strange’s initiated spell as well (as long as opponent is not too high in the air, Spidey will get to em.
Bolts are used to hold an opponent in a certain location for a time being. True it can be ducked but it’s purpose is simply to limit movement. Eye of Agamotto is good but requires a closer distance to use properly and still depends on the style team you are running. Daggers of Dennark are good for block strings but I can’t see any other use for them since they take a while to shoot and are easy to maneuver around.
That’s the issue with bolts though, they are so inconsistent that it’s almost high risk, high reward- and it’s only an assist. Not to mention if the right character gets under one of those bolts, or even worse, over them- Could spell trouble for two of your characters.
Agree about daggers, Strange leaves his ass out way too long for minimal (usually chip) damage- blah
That’s not the issue with bolts that’s the issue with when and how you called the assist. It’s meant to buy you time from afar, and by that I mean far enough that he doesn’t get hit but close enough for you to stop escape movement. If you’re calling it and not moving in to do something then you’re using it wrong. Like I said it’s there to limit movement. Most people tend to duck it so you can use this to your advantage to set up 50/50’s in the corner and to some degree left/right mixups midscreen.
Blockstrings, lockdown, counterhitting, hitting THE LIVING FUCK OUT OF HIDDEN MISSILES and other assists, combo extension after hard knockdowns in the corner or after crawler assault, etc.
if i wanted to put spidey and zero together what should the third character be? i find it fun to use both characters so i thought why not use both in a team
I use to run Spidey/Zero/Doom in Vanilla before his shadow loop appeared. Still got stupid damage for relatively easy but hit stun on web swing assist isn’t the same anymore so it may be different now. I haven’t invested time with that team this time around. Doom can easily be replaced by Vergil Mags or anyone else with a good horizontal assist.
