I just saw those videos yesterday, and I couldn’t agree more. Royal Flush displayed his prowess with what are considered to be some of the worst characters in the game with outstanding ability.

Oh, and a heads up to all you Spidey-Frank players, I’m disappointed in you. Made the synergy between them obscenely broken in about an hour-2 hours of messing around with crap. Might make a video of me killing Thor and getting Frank to level 4 starting with 0 meter tomorrow.

I have recently picked up this character and try to run a team of Spiderman(web ball), Dante(jam session), Magneto(disruptor).

I am having problems converting off the disruptor assist, its too fast and knocks back too far for me to combo. Lets say you landed a random air dash h or spider swing with disruptor, what would you guys do to convert it? I think it is good assist for getting in and quick cover, but I just couldn’t combo off it, so my game-play have become trying to avoid stuff and landing stray hits with Spiderman while firing the assist to clear screen 90% of the time.

anyone/frank is always fragile though, since if you lose your point you just lost quite a bit of firepower - the point and the potential easy lv 4-5 frank.

I just feel that if you want to play frank you should be going with dante or vergil points. They’re much more reliable at getting hits. Cart is a good assist for most characters but teleport characters have it the best =/

Teleport characters have it the best for any space controlling assist… that’s just how it is.
There aren’t any assists that non-teleport rushdown is better with than teleport rushdown.

And what makes Spidey quite nice is the fact that he’s hard as crap to open up anyways. I hear Spencer players complain about how hard it is to catch him. Anways, think I found a 850k combo that gets Frank to level 5 and builds about 1.6 bars, netting a -.4 gain altogether. Spidey on point, no exchanges. Oh, and the opponent is stuck in the corner.

I run
Spidey(B) Web Swing
Doom(a) Plasma Beam
Iron Man(B) Repulsor Blast
as my main team now. I noticed that Iron Man Repulsor Blast achieves the same combo extension for Spidey and does more damage in his bnb. Spidey DHCs into Dooms Sphere pillar from Maximum Spider. well enough with my bnb and ends up doing 1 mill damage plus I can fire off some hidden missiles after to chip them some if I need to. Also Iron Man goes well with Spidey. In fact Spidey Web Swing assist can extend Iron Man’s combo. At the end of air combo to air S land call Spidey assist smart bomb M > repulsor blast L > spread > smart bomb Photon Cannon or Iron Avenger. Same can be said for Doom beam assist. Also either Doom or Iron Man make decent anchors. Iron Man with x-factor(any level) can ROM. Also Doom benefits from Iron Man assist as well. I will post some videos some time soon of combos and stuff I do.
The drawback is that both Doom and Iron Man are kind of clunky in movement and get zoned pretty hard by some threats. However both have decent projectiles to fire back.
As a backup I run
Spidey(B) Web Swing
Taskmaster(a) Aim Master L
Doom(B) Hidden Missiles
This backup team is pretty good too. Good Synergy for DHCs with Spidey. Task aim master L for helping Spidey get in. Spidey Maximum Spider DHC into the Vertical super for task which can then be DHC into Sphere Pillar. Also Task can get multiple supers into 1 combo with Doom missiles. This team gives Spidey some solid characters to back him up as well once he gets knocked out. Also this team has some bulk with Taskmaster having 1mil 1k and doom having 1 mil making them able to take more combos(resets excluded). I will have to upload a video for both teams showing my combos and setups probably soon.
Feel free to make any suggestions as I am always up for more ways to have fun with Spidey.

Edit: Also worth noting that both Doom beam and Task horizontal arrow assist can be followed by web throw and if the beam or arrows connect they keep them in hitstun enough to get the web throw to connect, which then leads into a full combo. It is pretty good especially because the timing is VERY generous.

spidey / hawkeye / iron man… thoughts ? i also play skrull and wesker i dont know how well they are together though lol just anything i should know before i hit the lab lol

Spidey and iron man do well in the corner together as far as lockdown and combos go. I have a couple of vids up demonstrating combos with the two on my page. I’m also going to upload a few options with TACs that Spidey can get off Iron Mans flight combos.

Which assist do you use to get in another camera shot? Unfortunately, I can only make it to level 4 in a combo because I have Plasma Beam. Skrull? Nova? Basically, any wall bounce or ground bounce assist?

Nova (Centurion Rush, but Nova Rocket works as well). Basically, you just want something that will hold them in hit stun for enough time to leave recovery time from the first camera shot and nab a second one. Assists that I believe would be able to grant this would be Dormammu Dark Hole, Iron Man Repulsor Blast (maybe Unibeam? I’d have to test it), Strange EoA, any wall bounce assist, Magneto Hyper Grav, Arthur Daggers, Ryu Tatsu, Haggar Lariat (LOL, that’d be a terribad team!), Doom Hidden Missiles possibly if you can get the missiles to connect on the way up (maybe Rocks as well… idk, I don’t know how long they keep anyone in hitstun because no one runs it LOL), maybe Akuma’s tatsu, Dante Jam Session, maybe Ammy Cold Star but that would require you to connect the camera shot into the second hit, and Vergil Rapid Slashes. That’s all I can think of for now, but I’m positive there’s a lot more.

Also, the combo I have created with Spidey/Frank/Nova is stupid good. I’ll have to post it some time but I believe it does ~860~870k, builds a total of about ~1.7~1.8 bars, resulting in a net gain of ~(-.2)~(-.3) of a bar, pops Frank to level 5, and retains corner presence. If I know that the combo won’t produce level 5 Frank because I left a hit or two out, I can choose to connect a :h: Web Throw, granting me one extra hit pre-Frank, thus 2 extra exp. However, I feel that the :h: Web Throw link is rather easy to drop, so I’d rather stick to my guaranteed level 4 Frank who’s only 2 exp off from level 5, as well as a paddle-saw-wielding Frank having the opponent cornered and being in their face.

Spidey/Frank/Dormammu should work super well with this synergy as well, due to the fact that Dark Hole will *guarantee *level 5 Frank and we already know what happens when you stick Spidey right in front of Dormammu, so why not have a level 5 Frank be your battery to power this stupid-good synergy?! However, compared to Spidey/Frank/Nova, Spidey and Frank lose their stupid good unblockable setups, which scares the opponent into chicken blocking, thus setting up legitimate air throw hyper reads. Also, not only can Nova level up Frank while on point (which is still super easy on this team because if Spidey dies and you’re left with level 1 Frank, you can safely DHC into Nova after an air throw, which still nets you like 400-500k worth of damage), but Nova can still help Frank level up to 3+ while Frank is on point. I’m not too confident in the idea of Dormammu being on point to level up Frank, despite how amazing it would be to have Frank’s assist backing up Dorm, because I feel that the player would be too heavily reliant on TAC’s. I haven’t actually gotten any games in with Spidey/Frank/Dorm, while I’ve gotten in tons with Spidey/Frank/Nova, so my opinion on the differences may be a little biased currently.

What about spidey zero doom, dhc synergy is really good but zeros assist are kinda bad to me. Any thoughts?

My problem is always assists. I always wanna make sure that I have a beam assist because it helps Spidey get in as well as deals with real zoning heavy teams. Also you can hide a web throw in a beam a lot of the time and if the beam connects, then so does the web throw and you can score a full combo from it. I generally try to build a team with synergy but also something that will allow me to get in easier.

I love dooms beam but I can’t seem to let myself get rid of missiles amd lose my combo lol guess I just need to learn a few more. So no opinion on my team?
