If you wait a few frames after the last hit of MS, then the opponent will be a little lower to the ground so you can DHC into Proton Cannon.
Whoo! Found a little thing in Nova’s Fly/Unfly combos and Nova Rocket loop combos that can allow Web Swing Assist and Dark Hole assist to combo into Centurion Rush!!! A little more exploration with this tech and the missing puzzle piece to this team will be in place!!!
If you are doing maximum spider from web throw then you can dhc as soon as Spidey hits and get the full damage of proton cannon. There’s only two heights for maximum spider. Normal level and super jump level.

I would technically say 3 heights: Ground, normal jump level, and Super Jump level. Maximum Spider-> Plasma Storm will connect if you snatch someone up on the ground, lol.
I didnt see a mention of this trick I use, though you did say in an earlier post that you dhc with felicia and if they jump over then UWT. What I do after a long combo in the corner I end with Toy touch and then whiff a Dancing Flash on Purpose. and UWT Right after. Since they’re in the air ,its a pretty hard reset to escape unless they have Sent or another character with invinvicible hyper. If this has already been stated my bad. Then you can follow up UWT with a full combo if you manage the otg correctly. This in theory should do more damage. Gonna test it now.

Yea but it’ll be priceless to see their face " AH YOU MESSED UP:) Oh wait, No you didnt The combo beforehand and then the UWT and followup combo would probably do massive damage for 2 bars.
I say would because my Spidey is still a baby spidey… basic combos I do wanna learn much more about the character. I like him as a character and his playstyle.

i was running spiderman/deadpool (katanarama)/ hawkeye ( greyhound shot) but after many games on ranked lately, i have found that hawkeye as a anchor isnt the greatest when faced with a teleportor or mass rushdown chars mainly down to his weak close up game (which is understandable considering is ranged capablity is good but trapped in the corner u have very few options when trying to ocv )
im working on a spiderman/deadpool (quick work)/ dr.doom (plasma beam) team to try and give me more control over the ground whilst spiderman is airbourne, deadpool assist is mainly there for unblockables but i have found comboing from this is quite tricky due to the spinning knockdown of the assist. i was wondering if anybody here has more efficent combos when started of deadpoll quick work?(edit; its more web zip from the air coupled with quick work)
im also thinking about having spiderman/doom/deadpool whilst writing this post have to give it a try.
I’m not familiar with how Deadpool works but during the first few hits of a combo with your opponent on soft, spinning knockdown, wall bounces or hit stun from assists like quick work, drones, smite, beams, etc., it’s easy to get a web throw in. You can easily continue from there.
im thinking of pairing spidey with storm to really cash in on the “lol im flying over all your BS” concept. what third character do you guys think would glue this team together?
A zoning assist. Assuming you’re running Storm on whirlwind assist. It pushes the opponent away from Storm. It can be used for certain cross ups but majority of the time you want to be away from the opponent and slowly pushing them to the corner to capitalize from there. Also you could have that plus an assist that would help you progress forward for when you get them to the corner you can rush them down.
I like iNerd’s team of Spidey/Storm/Akuma. Storm/Akuma sinergy has been proven multiple times by Justin Wong as well.
I’m having alot of fun with Spider-man and firebrand. Great synergy IMO. They DHC extremely well both ways (FB gets all his hits for mucho damage off a MX!). I like starting Firebrand and if the DHC wont kill out right, shoot an otg fireball, wait a sec then luminous body into UWT. Even if they escape the UWt , you now have a luminous body Firebrand in the wings. His otg assist can then be used much easier fior UWT resets, or whatever assist you prefer. Very fun together. Im debating who to use anchor, Task or Hawkeye. Both DHC extremely well. So who’s a better assist I guess and//or better anchor? Thoughts?
Tasky is more solid than Hawkeye as anchor as he’s got more tools to open up your opponents.
Imo, the reason why Firebrand isn’t a popular second with Spidey, along with others who have good and safe DHCs like Morrigan, Zero, Trish, etc., is because you’ll have a dilemma when choosing the type of assist and anchor you need. I personally think that Spidey really needs 2 chars that can back him up, one for his combo extension to kill or at least leave your opponent’s first char near dead and the other to help him get to do that. Also, these 2 chars should be able to work together. With that said, Firebrand and Tasky does seem legit, especially if you can get a possible unblockable setup with any of Tasky’s assist.
Imo, I don’t think Spidey really needs an assist for combo extension, but moreso for control, be it a defensive assist like Gamma Charge or Lariat, or even an unblockable setup like Centurion Rush or Samurai Edge. What I mean by control is something that will still keep it in your favor (the GTFO assist to scare the opponent into playing around it or the unblockable setup assist to scare your opponent away from the corner or into jumping). Placing an intimidation factor on a character that has almost restrictions to his movement is a force to be recknoned with. It just helps even more if said assist is also a combo extender. ;O
You’re actually referring to the other char that backs Spidey up, which I also did mention. The reason why I would suggest an such is because it is one of the best ways to get guaranteed damage in to make sure you get to take away one character once you hit him.
I’m going to have to agree with Raoh. Spidey needs to kill. He has the perfect tools to do just that. He can definitely hurt someone while still using space control assist in his combos, but running a setup that will allow you to switch between play styles is a strong suit and I feel Raoh’s setup is a better choice than trying to set up an unblockable type style when using assist like Samurai Edge. It definitely works with Nova though but that assist in general is better for Spidey because of the extra stuff that comes with it.
