Honestly, it’s probably cause the first message board I posted on was soulcalibur.com back in 98, I learned a bunch of advanced information about SC1 on that board, and I’ve just been following the series since that’s the game I’m the most skilled at.
I like playing other fighters (3S CvS2 #R T5 etc), but I’m not as good at them when it comes to high-level play, and an advanced player would kick my ass pretty easily.
anyword on t5 pal release? it seems to be the game to play atm and i wanna see what the fuss is about without the embarrasment of being perfected against and not knowing a single character AT ALL
I even emailed Namco Europe and they’re only saying “summer”. They have no release date either.

The big one this Saturday is at Sergio’s, all the old heads from Soul Calibur 2 will be there!! Catch me on IRC if you need directions or something, most of the heads are there in #eurotekken and #cornertrap (EF Net of course)
Anyway T5 PAL isn’t coming for a loooong time, everyone has just imported USA version for now. Plus modchip or slide card of course.

i was thinking about this. does UK or England have its own Street Fighter team? you know a team that goes around the world and fights all the other Street Fighter teams??
Well not really…
But a few of us do go to international tournies sometimes.
Me, chunkis, Heat-CM, TheHY and grayfox have all been to France a few times for SF tournies.
I go with lots of other tekken heads for tournies in Holland, Italy (although I missed the last couple Italy tournies), and of course USA for evo!
chunkis and I played SF at evo too… but from tourney results I wouldn’t really call that representing uk at SF, lol
Oh yeah, Arma has recently gone to Japan too!! Although he’ll probably never come back, lol
Ryan Hart goes to LOTS of places for Tekken and VF. But he wasn’t serious about streetfighter until recently. He was proper sick at Alpha 2, but stopped after that. But recently he’s becoming very good at 3s.
Just a quick note, Ster Century Cinema in Leeds city centre has, at last, got T5. No idea of the settings (I’m expecting 1, 2 rounds etc) but will post up later on…

Seeing as you’re in Leeds, I figure I’ll ask you about this post I saw on cornertrap (which was posted about 3 years ago, so i dunno if any of it’s true any more):
It’s a few years since I last played around there, but from what I remember:
"The best place I found to play was in Leeds. There is a little arcade near the station (Mill Hill arcade, if I remember rightly) which had some decent A2 and SF3 comp when they first came out. It also had a ST machine, and an OG Defender machine on 10 a credit Turn right out of the station and walk towards the center of town - it’s in an alley on the right somewhere.
There was also another arcade the bowling alley about 10 minutes walk outside of the center, and they seemed to have some decent comp on the Marvel games and on VF3 when they first came out."
