For all the troc regulars, I was wondering how busy the ranking battles are? I’m thinking of going to the ranking battle on the 6th Feb. I don’t do 3D games myself, but am interested in watching and i’m sure there will be a lot of people playing 3S too. Will it be packed out?

I think you have misjudged the type of person I am. Because I know jehrico is a very good sf player and I would not do any of those things you mentioned to any player. Hope I made my self clear in this post and that there aint no misunderstanding.
I think the U.K scene would benefit a lot if jericho should come out and play more often cos i have been to his house he is proper safe so maybe he display some stuff aint it.
He’s one of those rare players that seems to be good at a vast amount of 2-D and 3-D games and not just a one game wonder.
Doesn’t play with just 1 or 2 characters and looks like he seems to have fun playing while winning and plays good with Low or Mid tiers.
The U.K scene won’t be as good as American’s as they seem to take it more serious, more organized and in General are more devoted to it, thats IMO

look man i aint here to cuss or diss you in any way i came here in good faith saying maybe jericho_mpm might 1 day get in a top spot on 3s cos he has beaten certain top players he aint making a big deal about it or anything in fact he dont even talk about 3s at all which is odd. i only said that cos other people in this thread before me had in there own mind about who they think are the better players so i have a right to say what i like.

Chef I forgot to ask you, have you talkied to the staff at the Angel vegas arcade about replacing the sticks? Cause if they do we can hold tournaments there, infact if you want I can hook up with you one time after uni we can both head down there and maybe convince them to change the sticks and also talk to them about holding tourneys there.
This could be the last straw cause TheHY told me the other day that troc have made it clear they will not let him hold RB’s there anymore.
Oh yeah and I am still working on trying to get a lecture theatre at Uni to hold a tourney but I need to talk to you a bit more about that maybe on irc.
Well on that note Jericho_mpm and Kof guy simeon have basically got a venue already the point is there new website aint fully finished yet so they cant even think about holding anything until they get some feed back.

if the ps2 version of tekken5 comes out on time its possible that could be 1 of the games or

Essentially there isn’t much. From my experience of almost a dozen campuses, you’ll typically get 3 racing/shooting machines in a pub and that’s your lot…

Some friends and I are planning a day trip to the Namco arcade in Sheffield soon (still want to go to London, but Sheffield is really damn close by, and I just recently found out there’s actually a scene there), so I was wondering, when are the players there? Looking forward to getting destroyed at 3s :karate:
Well the Namco arcade is often full of alpha 3 challenges and tekken 5 on saturdays, that seems to be the prime time for challenges on those games.
The arcade does not have a 3S machine unfortunatly But there are hardcore 3S players in sheffield who use ps2s. Seek out SrWilson he is the best 3S player there, also SSmasters is very good and that Arma^ guy was very good but I think hes left for Japan recently. Those guys are on srk infact Im sure they have posted in this thread somewhere.

Ah, I was under the impression that they had a 3s machine due to the fact that the Sheffield guys seemmed to talk about it a lot. Ah well, Tekken 5 is nice…can’t be bothered with learning V-ism just to compete at Alpha 3 though
