Big CvS2!.. Too bad it looks like a majority of the people are flocking to 3S. I like how I can watch both games when playing GGXX, though.

wow I wasn’t gonna bother going back to Xcape but since all this is going on I think I’ll make a stop up there on Tuesday around 2 or so 
I usually play marvel, but I’m always up for a few games in GGXX, Tekken, and even SF3
Anyone interested in bi-weekly tournies at xcape again? If enough people show interest, I wouldn’t mind doing the leg work & contacting to try to get it goin’.
Whats days would the weeklies occur?
I’m sure you can get a decent showing for 3s, but I predict a lot of banging of the machine, tantrums being thrown, and HELLA pouting.

Someone post xcape hours…also post what times they have pool events or free play events…basically we need to know the times that can be available.
Personally, i’d prefer friday nights just to have something to look forward to at the end of the week…don’t know how realistic that is though. Weekends are cool too.
i tried getting marvel together a couple years ago… i think only 6 ppl showed up, lol… this did not include any of the ppl that usually show up in between classes :rolleyes:
potter has more marvel connections though… i’m sure he could get more ppl than i could in socal
friday nite tournies would be hard for a lot of us to make i think… i’m sure a number of ppl go home for the weekend on friday, and just based on myself, i’d guess most ppl already have stuff with friends or g/f’s to do on friday nites…

Um, RC Elec is done by drumming your fingers over the 3 punch buttons, pressing jab + short, then the desired punch button you want for the Electricity. It might help to know that if you’re thinking there’s something broken.

If we wanted to run tournaments at xcape…and wanted the machines to be set on event mode, the person to contact would be guillermo?
Just to expand on CvS2’s RC (Roll Cancel), it is an input-buffer bug that grants temporary invincibility. The glitch basically boils down to the game permitting you to cancel a roll within the first few frames (~50ms?) into a special attack, while still retaining the roll’s invincibility period (IOW, replace the roll’s animation with an attack’s). Consequently, the RC is only possible under roll-capable grooves, and also characters with longer roll invincibility attain longer invincibility with RC, sometimes to the point of unpunishability.
CvS2’s RC is distinct from Guilty Gear’s Roman Cancel (RC), where 50% of the Tension (Super) bar is expended during an attack to eliminate its post-impact recovery time (i.e. instant recovery). Typically used to show off how much cooler GG combos are compared to anything else on the floor, and to pull off completely unsafe moves every 11 seconds for the hell of it just to RC it and return to safety. I suppose the closest Capcom equivalent is the Super Cancel without the attack part. The closest SNK equivalent would be the KOF2002 BC-cancel. Unfortunately, there is no dramatic freeze-frame and pixelated digital-zoom effect, nor bright screen flashes and erratic poses, so only observant spectators may note the red rings of the Roman Canel that linger for about 0.3 nanoseconds as someone’s lifebar drains by several dozen pixels in an equally short time.

I don’t initiate conversaion, making me appear even more hostile :sad:. Often found on GGXX with blue May, red Dizzy, white Johnny, or a Ky that acts like the only three moves that exist are Slash, Forward Kick, and double Charged Stun Edge FRC. If I’m ever on CvS2 (rare), it’s N Yuri-1/Iori-3 or N Yuri-1/CannonFodder-1/Iori-2. It would be N Iori-4 if everyone from scrubs to pros didn’t tell me Iori-4 was a Really Bad Idea™ every single time I tried. Man, I miss the good ol’ days of KOF.
