btw, I didn’t mention it before unless you read the blog, but kubo was at my qualifier and ended up losing to ken/tekka in semis. Thought you might like to know about everybody’s favorite niconico karas/ryu.
edit: and yes, I do have it on video It’s probably the most epic match of the tourney.
I think his combo is j.A j.B j.B j.A j.B j.B into 63214 B then into tekka assist.
That chain would give hime enough time to reset after the first tekka use if im nt wrong.
His ken was pretty godlike! He didnt seemed to drop his combos a few times tho, but i guess well he still played pretty good overall :3 but his rush down seems pretty more conservative. But still xD learned alot of tricks just looking at him play!
Any character that can cross up well with Tekkaman assist is pretty deadly. Very consistent with that Team Super as well. Ken/Tekkaman player played pretty gracefully overall.
Yeah sorry ??? not ??? was our first Kansai regional winner. There’s another qualifier this Sunday but unfortunately I don’t have money to make it out.
It really helps that Ken has two launchers (5C [on aerial opponents] and 3C, with the former being more reliable [as far as its hitbox] in the Tekkaman assist combos as well as a tad bit stronger than 3C. You still have to forward dash/ back dash to catch up with the direction your opponent will fall since the Tekkaman assist has strange tracking properties.
As for the team super, it always takes the continuing combo to the corner and comboing after the supers are over is pretty simple and consistent.
Looks like the 2nd kansai regional ended up being Karas/ryu v Karas/ryu. GO1, the guy who you can see getting beasted on by buta in the semis in my last vids, beat kubo in the finals and became the 2nd qualifier for my region while I was away.
