Isn’t AK kind of resembling a Mishima as well? Do he still have that godfist or am I just remembering the TTT1 days?
Anywho, to answer the K/AK question http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/928302-tekken-6/52040186

Thanks, I’ll have to check that out. Also, what the heck does “B!” refer to in terms of notation? Is it talking about Bound, like against a wall or something?
Are the console characters banned in tournament play?
No. They were before in the past because not everyone got a prepaid version of Tag 2 but now since the patch came out and every character was release. They can play them in tournies.
Thanks. Kunimitsu and Dr.B just sold me this game.
Well AK and King have different style of play. Just watch Triple H from Korea play with AK and King. AK has better movement then King cause of the WD. AK is probably more of a hard hitting type of character. While King is more about pokes and setups.
I have a buddy who play king and asked him why he doesn’t play AK and he said he doesn’t like his play style.
But here are some vids.

Okay, I know what you said was important and all but…there’s a Korean King/AK player named “Triple H”? That’s awesome as shit, lol.
Haha yeah. Triple H plays Tekken lol.
I wonder if he spits water before every game?
Yeah it means bound, the mechanic introduced in Tekken 6. It’s the small bounce on the floor that a character does during certain juggles, after the bound you can do OTG’s/extensions of the combo.
From my experience, it’s all preference and damage potential. I had to drop King for Jaycee as King was not that complete of a character and his combo damage wasn’t that high when combined with Xiaoyu. Jaycee and Xiaoyu complement each other better due to similar speeds and that Jaycee is a lot more solid despite the absence of a number of command throws. Not only that, but Jaycee is better at being a TA partner than King is for Xiaoyu.
I would say that going for opposite ends of the spectrum isn’t necessarily the best option. It seems more like complementing certain aspects is better than polar opposites.
Yeah, that’s a good point to make. I mean, admittedly part of the reason I’ve been running 2 teams and kind of experimenting with a 3rd (Armor King/Nina), is because I’m debating mixing and matching teams. You know, see if Nina/Jaycee works, or maybe try A.King/Leo, King/Miharu, etc.
I can’t guarantee that the last one will work, but go for it.
Another problem with King is that he has very few tag out options and that he’s limited on what he can do for tag follow ups. With Jaycee, not only was combo damage higher, but she was better at tagging in and out.

 Armor King/Leo sounds extra gay.
And 4neqs, you’re technically not late to the holidays since we’re only on the 9th day of Christmas.
Well, I was actually just kinda listing examples and stuff, but yeah. The biggest problem I seem to have with “Tag Assists” (is that even close to the proper term?) when it comes to King is that his stuff seems to have a tendency to knock opponents too far away too quickly to get a proper string going unless they’re against a wall.
The official term is Tag Assault.
For King, use 1+2, 1_3 when he’s in for the TA. Most reliable damage and knockback isn’t major depending on combo length.

Just for clarity’s sake I’m assuming 1=Square=LP, 2=Triangle=RP, 3=X=LK, and 4=Circle=RK if we’re talking PS3, and that 1_3 means “LP, Neutral, LK”?
_ means Or. N is for neutral. Go to Tekken Zaibatsu for the notations.

Aye, will do. I mean, I DID make an account there a few days ago, so I should probably sign into it, lol.
